I have seen so many people clamouring for Gigi Buffon to be signed as our back up keeper.

Honestly, boys are in dreamland. The chances of him leaving Juventus where has build his whole career, won countless trophies, has his whole life in Turin and Italy and move to northern England at his age. for what?!

Why on earth would he do that? To be our backup goalkeeper?

Honestly, if people aren’t impressed by Butland and can’t see the value there, then fine each to their own, but clamouring for Buffon to be signed instead as if that’s a realistic option and how it’s dissapointijf we’re not looking at him is just laughable . 🤨😂

DONT forget too, nobody wanted Roberson or AOC either! TRUST in the MANAGER 🤙🏼

Agreed navy. Even Klavan has come good. The recruitment has been pretty brilliant in recent seasons. I also don't think butland is coming to play no2. No way, not a keeper of his renown and at this stage in his career. He is coming to start. I don't see it as much of an improvement on Karius though I have to say. Loris has done okay this term and I think he is too good to be a no2. I can only think klopp plans to rotate the keeper like he did early on this season just passed. Or is Karius on his way out?

After investing money, time and resource you want to bench Karius for Butland who is no better than Karius? GK is the last position you want to rotate. Lol on one hand you want a settle back 5 and the other hand you want competition for GK position? How is ward fighting for his place? People are just pretending for the sake of convincing themselves.
I wouldn’t mind Reina. He would easily play as a back up. Still a very good keeper. Excellent distribution and he is vocal. Knows the club and plays high line for Napoli. Free agent.

It's not what I want but if reports on butland are true then it must be klopp wish. I didn't say I agreed, just trying to make sense of jb signing. And I trust klopp, he has taken the club forward in a massive way and I think he will continue to do so.

If Butland is coming in, he is coming in as backup to Karius, IMO. Klopp will not drop his own hand-picked no. 1 who he supported and protected, found a way to ease him in and who is has the most clean sheets in the CL and who is about to play a CL final. I'd say the boy has definitely improved even tho, a lot more needs to be done. I don't see that happening.

He’s leaving juve for somewhere though, I’m sure if we threw our hats in the ring he would at least consider a backup keeper/ coaching role.
I can’t see it happening as I think he may want to be first choice somewhere with coaching thrown in as well.
