Anyone interested in giving their thoughts on who they believe is going to win this years World Cup? I'll always go with Brazil. Any team with Neymar coutinho and (hopefully) our Bobby has to be in with a shot. I would have said Germany before but they aren't looking as impressive as before.

I think Spain can win it.
I always go with Italy but well. :D.

I fancy France as well to be honest, so much talent in that team right the way through.

I’d have said Belgium if they didn’t have Martinez as their manager. It’s a crime that he’s got that job.

{Ed001's Note - isn't that the same with France and Deschamps? The pair of them are anchors weighing down their teams.}

I’ll give you one guess who isn’t going to win the World Cup 😂.

{Ed001's Note - Italy?}

Germany for me.

With Deschamps as manager I don't see France going far at all, usually I'd of put France right up there but I can't with him there. They'll be knocked out early imo and it's a shame because they have a good squad, just a terrible man running it.

My opinion is Spain will win it. Belgium also have an insane team with world class players in a lot of positions so I wouldn't write them off either.

England. But I reckon the only team they will beat in normal time is Panama 😂.

Hard to look beyond Germany for me. Though I do hope Spain and Brazil make it interesting. Belgium and France, have some fantastic individuals but that's where it ends. Any underdogs people fancy?

Germany. I go with them everytime.
As long as Argentina don't win it, I'm fine.
Don't wanna hear all that "Messi is the greatest of all time" crap.

Does the fact it's in Russia make a difference? Would conditions suit a European team more? If I was to bet it would be hard to look passed Germany.

France won't be getting anywhere near that trophy esp. with Deschamps in charge (managed to bottle Euro 16 at home) and neither will Belgium due to the notoriously incompetent Martinez, . Germany and Spain will be my favs BUT Germany have some injury issues with Boateng and most importantly, Neuer. This may be a problem for them BUT it's Germany, it's what they do. Brazil? Not sure of them even tho I want them to win. it.

You should be sayin Egypt right Salah?

I'm going to say Germany, one of the few top class teams with a competent manager. I'm also going to go with the first African team to reach the semi finals.

There has to be more choice. I don't fancy any of them. England it is!

Always love backing teams like Senegal or Ghana. But what about Egypt this year?!

I think it would be great for the game if England got to the quarters or even semi finals. Sorry folks- don’t think I could take you winning it. As it is- I can’t see England getting out of the group. At this point though- the critics used to say that “expectations” crushed the players. Now I’m thinking the players could do with a little bit of pressure to pick up their game.

True Livebird31, I mean how could I forget about my own country! Scrap what I said earlier about Germany, We/ I will win us the WC!

On a serious note, I'd love something like that to happen, an underdog team winning would be brilliant to see. Apart from England, the majority of their heads are too far up their own backsides and don't deserve it.

Brazil to win it, England make the quarters, Belgium to be the let down of the tournament and Egypt to surprise a few people.

Roberto firmino to bring the world cup home to anfield and bring Allison with him too.

France would have a very good shot if only their coach could figure out how to use all the talent. It's kinda becoming a situation similar to Belgium over the past years.

True reet, France I have always usually enjoyed watching, in the past they've played some great football but he's changed that and it's a shame because there's a really good squad there, with the right manager they could shine. Be all and end all is, as long as he's there, they won't win a thing.

Surely the players aren't happy either with him been manager? I mean I like to imagine most players who play for their national team actually want to do something good (unlike England), win things and be proud to represent their country but how the hell can you do that under him lol I'd be well peed off.

IR89, he can leave Allison with him from what I saw last week.

It pretty much doesn't matter what happens (unless there's a major upset) . If England get to the Quarter Finals it'll be against either Germany or Brazil.

Russia they've paid a shed load of money to host it and I wouldn't want to be the referee if they get knocked out. Siberia in winter digging uranium or uranium up your bum hmmm choices lol.

If I had to choose an underdog, I'd go out on a limb and say Denmark. With Eriksen as our talisman and an overall decent squad compared to recent years, we'll have a go at everyone getting in our way. Not a biased opinion at all btw ;)
