For me lads, we need a decent centre back to partner partner Van; as Lovren and Matip aren't first team material. They are, like Klavan, backups. In fact with us having Klavan, one of the 2 could be sold.
We also need a keeper. Karius may come good, who knows; but we need a worldy for now. Allison all day long.

Have to disagree with that ed0025 compared to Mignolet even im an upgrade and Im a midfielder or at least used to be lol
how often do we really talk about the keeper now it used to be every game with Simon.
Karius is not there yet but he is ten times better then simon mate.

Ed25, if we picked only one or two games then we could say that every keeper was poor even De Gea.

sorry Ed025 my mistake after seeing the Roma keeper I would prefer sticking with our current keeper as the Roma one would cost a bomb.

Both keepers spent a lot to of time picking the ball out of the net but Karius had the better performances and was beaten by bad luck twice with a pen and an own goal.

I do believe oblak is truly quality but the money is dumb imo. Spend 100 mill on a keeper and when he makes a mistake the amount of stick he receives would be phenomenal. Every keeper has a mistake in them at some point. 100 mill or whatever his value may be just isn't justifiable unless it's de gea who literally garuntees 10 points extra a season.

We definitely need a new partner for VVD.
Alderweireld should be number 1 target. Perfect age, will help bring on Gomez, experienced in the premier league.
Matip and Lovren are too error prone to play for a team that wants to challenge for a league title.

If we could get Alderwereld, that would be great. Especially seeing as that would Mean City won't get him, cos I expect he'll sign for City and not Madrid.
Plus I expect City to be near unstoppable if they get Toby. Will there be a better first 11 in Europe?

Alisson didn’t pull up trees but I can’t remember him being st fault for any goals? You could point the finger at Karius for 2 of Roma’s goals. Either way 2 games isn’t enough to judge a player in my books, and I’m not going to sit here and try and make out I watch Roma every week (like some on here) because I don’t but some of the reports I read from ex keepers about him and the fact he’s keeping out Ederson in the Brazil team he must be good.

Let's just be glad that it's no longer Migs in goal shall we?
He seems a nice bloke but having him in goal really doesn't do anyone any good.
Personally, I'm just glad that we now have a keeper that can be expected to do things a keeper should, goes on and does that most of the time, and we can have more calm and peace each time the ball is played back to the keeper or is in and around our box.
