Nice one lads, never do it the easy way but well done! On to the final, that’s going to be an interesting one. If we play at our best we are unbeatable, if we play like last night it’s going to be a painful 90 minutes!

Can’t quite believe Roma chief is bemoaning the ref this morning for not giving them 2 “clear penalties”. they had two over the two legs that were never a penalty in a million years - ref was trying to stitch us up I think! And also moaning someone should have been sent off 63rd minute - is he referring to his player making the 2 footed challenge?!

Anyway, aside from the controversy, a win is a win and I am so proud of the lads for getting to the final, let’s just hope we can go one further this time for Klopp :)

YNWA.

echoing my thoughts there and I'd forgotten about that scissor tackle!

I think taa should have given away a pen for handball but can't think what the other clear pen was?

{Ed001's Note - when Karius took out Dzeko but offside was given.}

That's Karius again letting himself down you could see it a mile away what he was going to do thank god for the dodgy ref decisions.

Let's not forget their player Shoving Mane in the back in the first 10. Blatant penalty. As stone wall as they get. As was proven when the ref then gave Lovren a free kick for Schick breathing on him, and gave one Against Milner just for putting his arms on the shoulder.

It was as clear cut as they cone and the ref bottled it.

I actually think the obstruction right on the edge of their penalty area was definitely a foul. Hard to see if it was in the box or not, but the ref gave nothing. It was at least a free kick in a very dangerous position.

The ref was absolutely awful all night and if Roma fans want to moan about penalties when they had 2 across the tie which were not even close to being penalties, it just shows how petty they are.

I Don't even think the Trent hand ball was a penalty because literally a split second before, there player slapped Trents clearance out of the air. If the argument is that he was too close to get out of the way of the clearance, then my argument is that Trent was too close to get out the way of the shot. You can't flex the rules to suit you.

More to the point when their player slaps the ball, you can be too close to the ball to get out the way but he actually pushes it in a useful direction - it doesn't just hit him, he's dynamic in it. Stonewall handball.

Spot on Hijkle.

On the obstruction I think we should've had in our favour, I just remembered that the ref gave them the decision in a near identical situation where Trent blocked their runner just outside our box.

The ref was giving them everything all match and for me the only decision that went in our favour was the Dzeko offside call where they would've had a penalty.

Aside from that, everything else went their way. The ref was trying way to hard to keep Roma in it. He booked Robertson for getting pushed off the pitch when it should've been our free kick. Nobody can tell me Florenzi was trying to play the ball!

The scissor kick on Mane was bizarre and the tackle in first half on Wijnaldum.

No point having an inquest into what went right and wrong last night. It was always going to be a tough match, they haven't conceded there in the champions league all season and battered Barcelona and Chelsea with no reply. We did enough to get through and that is all that matters, mistakes or not, we are going to Kiev and we have a chance to make history.
