First timer so go easy :)

Yesterday's match showed with any key injuries up front we may struggle. Do you think Klopp will bring in another forward to compete with the front 3 and if so any poss names he's looking at?

I think we need the midfield to step up more and chip in with goals. Hopefully Keita will help with that.

I personally think we need a wide forward to cover Salah and Mane. In pre season, Wilson and other youngsters have to be given a chance to shine otherwise we should bring in some cover.

I suspect it all depends on Ings Solanke Origi futures. The Ox is capable of playing as a wide forward as is Woodburn too so I’m not sure if we’re actually short but rather just realising how good Salah Mane Firmino actually are.

Perhaps the signing Sessegnon or Lemar could offer even more options in that sense.

I think the only thing the Stoke game told us is that the players where focused more on the game against Roma than against the team they where playing against.

I don't think ings fits our style. He's too slow, brain and feet. Dom is a different dimension a plan B so I'd stick with him.

Agree LFC8. Always seems to wanna take an extra touch or takes too long to set himself up for a shot.

We have a good starting 11

But apart from midfield (all players are fairly similar) if you make 1 change you notice it no matter who we play

We need cover in a lot of areas if We are to compete in all comps

We are struggling to top 4 due to a good run in the CL and injuries.

I would love to have Leon bailey as a back up for Salah and Mane.

That could be to do with the fact that he has not played for so long and will take a long time to get that sharpness back. We will have to be patient with him, what do you think ed.

Ings is a solid player but not in the same league as our front 3 - we need someone of that standard upfront to compete and act as impact sub/ rest players from time to time.

It’s clear right now when one of front three are out, we lose too much. As for those saying let’s use juniors, 4 starting quality players for 3 positions isn’t too much to ask for, Man city have that, so do Man Utd. Our unproven juniors (and I include Solanke in this, can be 5th or 6th in the pecking order.

Someone of the standard of our front 3 isn't going to come here and sit on the bench though. Ings is still getting up to speed (although he ultimately may not be the answer), Origi looks to have lost his way but I wouldn't be writing Solanke off. He's one for the future.

Bailey is a good shout crazyhorse, and I'm sure Harry would be keen too (come on commuter! ) .

Would he be happy to be second fiddle though? I guess at his age, a season or two as backup won't be a disaster for development, but it depends on his mentality.

A left field choice would be Robben. Now that he is approaching his mid-thirties, would he be happy to be an experienced backup? He still has a lot to offer, and maybe that would stop him wanting a backup role?

I’d like Wilfred zaha as cover and competition for the front three as this player is coming on leaps and bounds. I really think we need more creativity in midfield Wich hopefully kieta and another (cabellos) possibly? .

And why would Bailey come here and be back up to the front 3 when he can go to any big club to be a starter as he is one of the best young talents around? Or have people forgotten why a certain Julian Brandt (Klopp's first choice before Salah) refused to come here? He did not want to be a back up to Cou out wide. Good luck trying to find a top talent to come in here and be back up cos you're going to need it.

As for what we learnt from Stoke? I learnt NOTHING. We have been injury hit in the past few weeks in one position. NO manager can plan for that cos all our injuries come from one part of the pitch: The Midfield. We had 6 players for 3 spots. Now, we have only 3 with 3 of them out injured. If you were a manager, how would you deal with that unfortunate scenario? Thoughts.

Personally I think we need a match winner on the bench like in the Hernandez role. Someone you know who is not as good as the front 3 but will come on and score given half the chance. The only player I see around that fits that mould is batshuayi. He is not wanted at Chelsea and they are not shy in selling to a rival.

Jay, sorry BUT no "match winner" is going to come here and be back up to anyone. Batshuayi left Chelsea for game time so why would he come here to do the very same thing which was his reason for bolting to begin with? Hernandez is past his prime and does not even fit the way we play. I am not saying I have the answers BUT just stating facts (Batshuayi) and opinions (Hernandez) .

Yeah see what you're saying BRover mate. But I honestly believe a better player on our bench would have had far more minutes this season than Klopp has allowed Ings and Solanke. If we're to challenge on more fronts next season then whoever is covering the front 3 will be used far more than the two named were this year.

With you there, Jay. We just have to get the right players in who will accept their roles esp. in the front 3. I don't see any top talent doing that as we have seen with Julian Brandt. We will have to see.
