Sounds like the downfall of many youngsters nowadays.

Interesting thanks Ed, I doubt we'll ever see him at what he was capable of, unfortunately another one who went off the rails. If he'd of worked hard enough he could've made it big, I genuinely believe that.

What is it with a lot of these youngsters, they get a bit of cash in their pocket and lose their passion for the game, it's quite frustrating because it's happening more and more these days especially.

{Ed001's Note - once you have everything you need, what is there left to aim at?}

This is what I fear with TAA. Getting such a high salary (the supposed new contract being rumoured) at such a young age can do a number on your head. I hope he has the right "environment" around him (and by that I mean, people) when he is away from football and the team. The fact that he has done so well and progressed so quickly, as well as, being so highly thought by all at LFC, probably indicates that he has the right "basics and foundation", character-wise. But there's always a risk. In our fast times, everything can be so transitory - there one moment, and gone in the next.

interesting quote there eds 001.

For my sins, golf is my sport which is very well rewarded at the top level, and yet these multi millionaires if playing well and qualifying for weekend have to:-

Travel to tournament Monday.
Practice round Tuesday.
Pro-am competition Wednesday
Four day competition finishing Sunday.

Repeat.

Some people just want to compete, the money is just a huge bonus.

If messi hadn't been discovered he'd be on a beach hustling tourists playing footy.

Money is just a stupid excuse.

Ronaldo. Simple. Has it all.

You know that man won't get tatoos so he can still give blood.

Or that a mum asked for his shirt to sell for a 80k ok for her son and he gave her the 80k and the shirt.

Ibe is just a lazy human being. Money makes no difference.

Trent for example will be fine.

Joey I agree, I think Trent will be fine. He comes from a family that's involved in football and his ambition seems to be beyond fame and money, but rather achievements within the game.

I still think Ibe can turn it around.

Cesar it was so her son could have surgery.

I also noticed when Ibe first came into the Liverpool team he wasn’t using space well. He was far to static off the ball and almost never made any runs in behind, and his passing was terrible. It seemed was only ever trying to get a one on one situation to take on a player.

Compare that to Salah, Mane and Firmino and they are always making unselfish runs, using their pace and movement. They hardly ever need to beat players from a standing start and their passing and vision are superb.

At this level of the game, taking on defenders one on one from a standing start has very poor odds and so I’m not surprised he’s struggling and has lost his drive. He has the physical attributes he needs but needs some serious coaching if he’s ever going to fix the deficiencies in his game like his vision, movement, decision making and passing.

{Ed0333's Note - Rogers should shoulder some of the blame for Ibe not flourishing, there was talent and promise in that kid and I’m surprised Brenda didnt do more with Ibe because for all his failings a bad coach he wasn’t.
