Bleeding typical. Today is the launch of my debut novel and already it's a disaster. Missed Man U match thanks to my wedding a few weeks back and yet again I'm missing kick off today because the launch party is at 5. However, the real nightmare is Kane has just strolled in to the place with sharpie in hand and begun writing his name all over my books. Every time I approach him and ask him to stop he just shakes his head and mutters "mine. ".

About 470 pages in length wacca wacca! It’s a fantasy novel. I’m not going to plug it on the site to be honest- first of all, I doubt the post would get through and secondly it would just be a little bit cheeky. Rest assured, it is the greatest book ever written and this time next year I intend to be a very rich man. Translation- I’m totally terrified and ecstatic and would be happy if I sold over a hundred copies this year! On a side note, Kane has agreed to let me have the copies back and will only claim ownership if it gets book of the year. I think I’m safe enough.

Can I plug my book Ed? It’s a football comedy novel and there is a bit about Liverpool in it.

{Ed001's Note - are all these books real and not just gags about Harry Kane? If so feel free to plug them like but I am confused as I assumed the book post was just a long gag.}

That’s really really kind of you ed. When we’ve done the release and hopefully enough positive (family and friends) reviews are up, I’ll let you all know. Truth be told I am dying to tell you all but a few trolls having a laugh and putting in one star reviews on Amazon or wherever, could easily do a bit of damage before I’ve even begun to build a decent following in the first few weeks. I’m sure to meet them soon enough and I do welcome criticism despite my brilliance, but at least this way I’ll have a little bit of carapace armour strapped along the book cover. At least Harry Kane thinks it’s worthy of his time so that’s something- although he does seem to be spreading himself thin these days. I remember when he used to be just a footballer.

My book is genuine Ed and us on Amazon. As I said, it is a football based comedy about relationships within the club and the supporters. Some adult humour and a bit of swearing which you would expect in a football environment but nothing too bad.

It is called The Gaffer. If you go on Amazon website and search The Gaffer by John Joseph Austin you will see it if you scroll down until you see a book with a red cover and white circles.

I am half way through the sequel and will try to get both published in hard copies when it is finished.

Mk and ed1 would be brilliant choices- I’d happily review it too at some point John. Sounds like a great read.

Thanks aoe, it would be great if someone on here could review it. It’s got some 5 star reviews on Amazon but I think a review on here would be better as you are all football supporters. You don’t have to be into football to enjoy it, as it’s anout relationships and life but the thread is football based so it’s better if you are into football.
