Outside the fact that Navas has been shocking tonight, I hope Klopp doesn't go for any goalkeeper.
Karius should be given a full season to make the role his.

If Real go out they will come knocking for JK.

Karius deserves a chance.

Nothing wrong with having two good keepers in the squad though, so if Mignolet leaves as seems quite possible, then there should be room for another keeper to arrive as Klopp may not see Ward as good enough.

Buffon concedes pen and is sent off.

Buffon didn't concede the pen he just reacted like a moron.

Buffon didn't concede the pen Agger. He got sent off for remonstrating with the ref.

pretty poor penalty to give by oliver who is a woeful ref.

{Ed001's Note - did anyone else think he looked delighted to give it? He gave a little skip of joy before pointing to the spot!}

Buffon should have stayed on.

Ref was gunning for it all game. You can see how scared he looked when the juve players surrounded him too. Every time a Madrid player went down he would wait a second and then give it like he was awaiting a look from Ronaldo or something.

I would actually love to get Real Madrid after this game. They are from at their best.

That was a pen. a soft one perhaps but you can’t jump all over someone like that from the wrong side. And Buffon deserved the card, he was going apoplectic. I’m as gutted as anyone Real won that game but you can’t blame the ref for those decisions IMO.

Olrish, the idea is good to bring in a keeper but not Navas. He makes Migs look very good and that speaks volumes! If Klopp has seen him tonight he wouldn’t go within a mile of him!

11 Apr 2018 22:17:48
imo Michael Oliver called an even game, the penalty was soft but not necessarily wrong.

11 Apr 2018 22:18:53
You can tell that the ref was not sure at first as he had to wait a a couple of seconds before giving it. I still think it was a pen, tho as Benatia came thru Vazquez's back to reach the ball. As for Buffon, he deserved to be sent off. Love the guy BUT disgraceful conduct.

Real Madrid somehow get the help that they need, and boy did they need help tonight Juve must feel upset and they won't be wanting that Ref again .

16.) 11 Apr 2018
11 Apr 2018 22:31:20
Yeah Benatia was caught on the wrong side of Vazquez and pushed him over. A soft pen, but a clear one.

Why was Buffon given a red for remonstrating with the ref? I thought a yellow would suffice (for dissent)

17.) 11 Apr 2018
11 Apr 2018 22:41:19
He put his hands on him then screamed something in his face, unfortunately it was a red although Oliver did let joe hart get away with sticking his nut in his face (only a yellow)

Sure did ed01, his face was a picture after the decision. Realising he’d had one big time and when he looked across he realised his only back up was Atkinson who is equally as bad. Surely it has to be more than luck that Real and Barcelona get these decisions so regularly?

{Ed001's Note - well yes, partly it is because they get into the box more often, partly it is because they dive more than most when the opportunity presents but yes, I would say there is no luck involved.}

That was a penalty. Hand on shoulder, leg wrapped around the player and he didn't touch the ball, cos it's trajectory didn't change.
I don't think it was soft, I think it's clear.
Of course, Vasquez was expecting it and took full advantage, but still, it was a clear penalty.

20.) 12 Apr 2018
11 Apr 2018 23:42:56
Never a red for Buffon too, he was going mad yes, but it's a yellow unless he lays hands.

21.) 12 Apr 2018
11 Apr 2018 23:55:56
Does anyone not thing Ronaldo should’ve been sent off tonight. His dive for a penalty in the first half was terrible should’ve been booked for that, then the booking for taking his shirt off after scoring the penalty. Would much rather face Madrid in the final where they are less likely to get the decisions so obviously in their favour compared to having to face them at the bernabeu.

mane yesterday was more of a pen yet not given, refereeing is just crap.
