Hi Ed001 I'm asking about Emeka Obi, he's now 16 and some and has been at the club around 2 years, he's the 6ft 5 defender we signed from Bury. Do you know what's going on with him? If not can you ask? Gerrards u18s have been very very young recently he's been playing some u15 players and yet obi hasn't featured in his squads that I've seen. I find it strange someone with his size and reputation you wouldn't expect to be held back. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if it helps but Wigan U18 beat Tranmere U18 in November and their second goal was scored by Emeka Obi.

There is nothing on any of the sites saying he signed for them from Liverpool but could he have been on loan?

It is a bit of a head scratcher but he wasn't in Gerrard squad pictures at the start of the season either.

last i heard he was being held up due to visa issues. but could be wrong.

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate, just waiting for someone to come back to me who actually knows. So far I just got back replies along the lines of 'oh, no idea' or 'I had forgetten about him'. This is a major problem in English football, big money is paid for kids that just vanish as they suddenly lose desire when they are set for life. I am hoping it is not the case here, but the way he has just vanished from view suggests that is a very real possibility.}
