I think what you all need to think about is that Kieta is coming in, and apparently Klopp is looking at a dedicated 6, (from what i read here) that means the current midfielders are vying for the third midfield role as you can't see Kieta or the dedicated 6 being squad or bench fillers, all assumption but i get the feeling he's not totally happy with midfield as it is.

I like van Dijk a lot, he has improved us, and he's definitely more cut out for the armband than most other players we have. But I'd like him to keep his concentration in games a bit more reliably before we start giving him more responsibility.

So I'd stick with Henderson.

I don't think Henderson deserves to have the captaincy taken off him to be honest but I also don't see there being an issue with us having another captain on the pitch when he doesn't play. In the 14 premier league/ FA/ CL games he has missed this season we have lost 2 and drawn 2 with us winning the other 10 fixtures.

OP, why are we asking, exactly? Is Hendo being deposed of the armband? If not then I don't see the reason for the question.

No prob, JC. I'm always skeptical of such questions about Hendo and the arm band cos to many times in the past, these types of questions have been used by many to slate him or call into question his leadership whereas, there is no basis for it, IMO.
