The lad has a chance of playing in the World Cup. It’s good for our players. You can get injured in training. The good thing is it’s a knock rather than a result of over playing. He’ll be ok 👍.

OP, I don't hate int'l week. Quite the contrary. I watched my first WC in 1986 and have been hooked on int'l footie ever since. Now can some of the games be boring and one sided? Absolutely BUT I love friendly games right before the WC cos that is where the excitement is, IMO. As for the WC, it's like Christmas to me esp. if my fav teams are playing like Brazil, Germany, Croatia, Holland, African countries etc.

Mandzo, are you Croatian? If you are, then you should be proud. I have loved Croatia since the core of that brilliant WC '98 team of Boban, Suker, Stimac, Rosinecki etc, was part of the Yugoslavian U20 team that beat West Germany on penalties (after dumping the highly rated Brazilians out in the Q-Finals) in the 1987 U20 WC.

I have loved that team since then and when they became a country in 1994, those players alongside, Asanovic, Jarni, Soldo, Vlaovic, Stanic etc, came to England and played their way into my heart once again in Euro 96 and then IMO, could have won the WC in '98 had France's Thuram not chosen that semi final to score the ONLY two goals he has ever scored in his career in that game. Trust me, Croatia is a team I adore and ALWAYS want them to do well.

Agreed, I was the same with italia 90. I liked football before that but was completely hooked after the wc.

I love international football, I love tournaments where there is good football to watch EVERYDAY! those who are underwhelmed atm will soon get caught up in it come the summer.
