Morning Ed's do you think Mo Salah has a realistic chance of winning the ballon D'Or or do you think FIFA will still favour the Spanish league players. Just wondering how the rest of Europe see's Mo's form and how they rate him?

{Ed001's Note - not a chance unless LFC win the Champions League and he gets a double hat-trick of goals as well as netting 80 in the league.}

It's not a fair system he has to be in the top 5 players in Europe. Ronaldo who I believe to be the best player on the planet is nowhere near salah performance wise this year.
Looks like its messi this year.

UEFA have a knack of ensuring English teams meet each other in the Champions League at every earliest opportunity.

I remember going down to Chelsea away five times in five years when we were drawn together in the knock out phases, from 2004 onwards if my memory serves me correctly.

As Ed1 said, the chances of Salah winning is zilch

We all know how corrupt they are.

love salah, am intrigued to see if he can keep this up for years like ronaldo and messi.
bit unfortunate, but that aware is a bit of a boys' club in that it seems the career pedigree is is taken into account on a yearly basis. then again messi and ronaldo have been dominating for a long time!

anyways, whilst I'd love any liverpool player to win a gong, I just wanna see them do it again and again and again!

Salah is the kind of guy who trains extra hours after training, his mentality is like no other, if he was from Europe he would have had better development when younger and that's the only reason he is reaching this level now and not 2-3 years earlier although he has been absolutely top class at Basel, Fiorentina and Roma, he will do it for years too, let's not forget Messi is 31 and Ronaldo is 33, Salah is 26 in 4 months time.

I wouldn't be so sure ed. Don't forget salah is from a growing market, with plenty of business opportunities, salah could be the party piece.

If we win the champions league then it's between him and Messi. If we can knock Barcelona out after city then it's going to be criminal not to give it to him. We just don't want Portugal or argentina winning the world cup!
