{Ed002's Note - Take it to the MU page, this is the Liverpool page.}

Fair enough. To modify the second part of the question, when Raffa did his infoumous rant as Liverpool manager was it as good, equally as good or not as good as the one today.

{Ed002's Note - Generally these “rants” are the result of coaches becoming rather miffed at the media and what the perceive to be a witch hunt, or perhaps simply unfair or tainted reporting. I have a little sympathy but to adumbrate the views of the media and many supporters does little to help their cause - and that is what Benitez and Mourinho did. However, to be fair the media in the UK seem to get a great deal of pleasure from causing difficulties to football coaches, whether they deserve it or not.}

I like what Mourinho said. Klopp spoke similarly in his first year and a half, just delivered it with more charisma.

Cant find direct quotes but I can remember Klopp making reference to needing new players (suggesting he inherited some duds), encouraged fans to support the team and fight with them to the final whistle (criticize atmosphere and fan support), evidenced his suitability to rebuild liverpool based on his previous success and experience (telling everyone he has done this beefore and will do it again), encouraged media and fans to give him and his players time to build their project (criticizing media criticisms) etc etc

This is more about the media and for me it was a fun liste. Rafa's fact rant to me was way worse than this. In amongst all of manUs atruggles they've won a major european trophy and have significantly improved their league position. Like us, the steady improvements are being overshadowed by the few black marka on the record. Add that to the way he talks to media then obviously everything is there for media and public backlash.

Spot on, Ed02. England is the only country I have seen the football media do that to managers and teams. Pathetic, really.
