Hi not posted in a while but I have to say the negative comments coming out of Saturdays game is baffling. Yes we conceded 2 poor goals which should have been defended better but they are human and will continue to make mistakes. TAA is an exceptional talent and he did have a poor game but Rashford was brillaint and making a nuisance of himself. He had a brilliant game so give credit where it’s due. TAA will bounce back as he is a brillaint talent. Regarding the result look at the stats if we had some luck on our side would have easily been 3 points to us. Seen all them penalties given and The penalties given against us have been ridiculous at times but we go again and look forward.

We didn’t play well as a team and Man U didn’t allow us to play well.
Salah was anonymous
Can was anonymous
Lovren was out-battled
Firmino was denied any space in the box
Van Dijk was not covering Lovren.

TAA was not the only player to have a poor game so it is ridiculous to single him out.
Despite all this I think we deserved a draw. That’s the positive for me, we played poorly and ManU were lucky to come away with all 3 points at home. On another day we could easily have had 2 pens.

How an expensively assembled squad of fantastic talent, on paper, can give up 68% possession at home and be elated is beyond me. When spurs came to anfield and dominated us, I was very disappointed, despite gaining a point. Utd had 2 shots on target and 1 corner. I'd rather finish 4th than 2nd and have to watch that drivel week in, week out.

Spot on, Ron. We did not deserve to win as half the team had off days but I think a draw was fair especially with two penalty calls (esp. the Fellaini one where Neville, Jenas and Lampard thought should have been given) were flatly denied by a consistently poor ref.
Another issue for me is why are early kick-off's always a problem for us under Klopp?

I don’t want to go into the decisions. Some goes our way and some goes against! It’s a part of the game and unless VAR isn’t introduced this would continue. TAA should be the last person to be blamed. We had no clue How to deal with the long and direct football. Had they played Martial on the right then Robo would have had a hard time.

It’s a routine pattern! Mark out the front three. Cut the space at for them to run coz our midfiled is so ulesss they couldn’t hit a barn door! Where do you see the goals
Coming if the front three are not scoring?

We were never going to score! Coz we only know one way to score and that’s through the middle! We offer no width at all! And the only goal came when someone whipped in from the byline! We are useless in that area!

The thing with trent is all of the critics forget he is just 19.
Just as they forget Gomez is only 20.
Both received a lot of criticism for mistakes or cowering away from shots, but they need this now to learn from.

Also Ron you forgot to mention the Ox too, he had a horrendous time out there! i’m surprised nobody (that i’ve seen) has been ripping on how bad his first touch was ALL GAME!
All 10 outfield players seemed to be unable to pass a ball 5 yards too most times which is staggering considering how fluid and inch perfect the passing usually is.
