Can we all have a right good laugh at what a tit Tim Sherwood is. I cannot stand the man.

He’s just done a piece on sky saying that Karius could emulate David de Gea and that he could be the answer.

Literally a week ago he wrote a piece saying this “"The key for Liverpool's current goalkeepers in the mistakes they have made. Liverpool cannot gamble, they need a sure thing. It's a key position and you're not going to win anything without a top goalkeeper. "

Changed his mind in a week has he? So embarrassing. He’s a shocking pundit and it’s a crime he makes a living of any sort in the sport.

I’d also like to say that I have faith Karius can be the answer between the sticks for us. People got on his back way too quickly. He has to keep up recent performances for the rest of this season and immediately into next to nail down his place though. Fingers crossed he could save us 60-70mil.

Can we not praise somebody for not being too stubborn to change his mind?

3 weeks ago, everyone on here said we NEEEDED Alisson and that Karius was not good enough.

Ask people on here today and those same people who said Karius wasn't good enough (myself included, amongst others including Ed001) will probably say they're prepared to give him a chance and/ or that maybe he is good enough after all.

I think it makes somebody a good pundit to be flexible in there opinion. Making your mind up and then being completely un-open to anything changing your mind is stubborn and poor analysing.

The whole thing reminds me of when Lucas first signed, poor bloke got a right bashing, he worked hard and for me at one point was the first name on the team sheet . I’m not one for slagging players off straight away, I think it’s later in their careers with LFC that if they still haven’t improved then that’s the time to question wether there good enough for Liverpool .
Really hope we start off the blocks today.
YNWA.

Credit to him for being big enough to change his mind. Karius has won me over too, it’s ok to have an opinion, but it’s not ok to be so stubborn as not to change your mind if the facts change. The facts are that Karius has stepped up in recent weeks and is looking like the keeper we hoped he would be. Remember the words of greatest economic mind of the modern age, John Maynard Keynes.

Yes credit for changing your opinion but not in the space of 5 days when you’re paid write stuff. What exactly happened in 5 days for such a drastic turnaround.

If he’d written that first article 6 months ago or at the start of the season. A 5 day Gap is embarrassing.

Sherwood was extremely successful in his managerial career so am happy to be guided by his opinion and undoubted expertise.

According to your quote 87red he never specifically said Karius wasn't good enough. He just said that Liverpool have a problem with goal keeping mistakes and need a sure thing. It is very reasonable to think that, and also think that Karius has potential to improve and do just that.

You are acting as though he has said "Karius is a terrible keeper" and then 5 days later said "Karius is world class.

In actual fact, all he's said is Liverpool need a goalkeeper who can be consistent and cut out the errors, and then 5 days later said that answer could be Karius. I'm sorry, but I don't see the issue.

I agree with you that Tim Sherwood isn't the best pundit, but this is a stick invented via paraphrasing and exagerration, to unfairly beat him with. Only my opinion of course mate.

Where have I exaggerated anything he’s said? It’s a direct quote.

Whether he’s said terrible to potential De Gea or he’s said we need a world class keeper to we now have the answer is still a flip flap in the space of 5 days.

Jamesy I appreciate the sentiment but Lucas is a bad example. Yes he improved but at his best for me was nowhere near good enough. Top bloke and I still love him today but very limited footballer.
Let’s hope Karius can get to a much higher level than Lucas ever did.

Again I don't really rate Sherwood as a pundit, but how long does it take to change your mind? A change of mind takes but a second. I'm all for having a go at Sherwood but not because he changes his mind whether that be in 6 months 5 days or a second. I'm more angry at people/ pundits who refuse to change their mind. Like if someone still maintained salah was a pointless awful signing, that person would be an idiot.
