I like to think of last night as a good test run. We'll be forced to put in disciplined performances if we're to progress in Europe, and this had a fairly typical away leg feel to it.
Also, I loved watching Ings last night. Really added something different, I'd like him to sign an extra year or two if he's happy to play back up to Bobby. I really feel he can cause problems, and his attitude and application is superb.
Well done Liverpool, well done Danny 👌.

Ings is definitely good enough, just needs more than 10-15 minutes here or there. He is a good option off the bench currently and seems content in that role. He still has the ability, just needs to rebuild his confidence. Fella has had back to back long term injuries and will take time to rediscover his flair.

As a fan I would love to see Ings get another season at Liverpool without injury to see if he can make something of himself in the first team. Whether he wants to do that or not is another question.
I didn't know much of him when he was at Burnley but there were a few occasions against Porto where he had some really nice touches and played confidently out wide to Lallana. Plenty of running in his tank as well. Give him a chance!

I have to disagree about ings, he has spent most of his time with us injured and when he is fit he's not the level of quality we need. I know people will say he's a good back up but the answer is he's not good enough, we need someone quality to rotate with firmino, mane and salah. Same can be said for lallana.
