Nice one MK, cheers for that mate was waiting for this lol I also think they'll get a goal tonight maybe even 2, but with our attack we'll finish them off again quite easily in my opinion. Looking forward to this at Anfield, it's just a whole new atmosphere when we're in these stages of the CL at Anfield, absolutely fantastic. 4-1 sounds about right mate.

I'm hoping for a somewhat surprise lineup tonight, not that I'm bothered either way but it'd be good if we could see young Solanke, Woodburn or Ings given a start tonight.

Very comprehensive MK, good work. I know Klopp said about not resting players but I really think he will. some of the other players need games. I think around 5 changes, Moreno and Gomez must play and Milner should play instead of Henderson.

Firmino and Salah I wouldn't play either of them. If the squad is not capable of giving Porto at home a really tough game then the squad has major problems. Many on this forum say Solanke is going to be a great player, Gomez will be an England defender, Ings is top quality etc. If they never play we will never get the chance to find out have good these players are. Also when we really need them later it is unfair to ask them to produce when they haven't played for months.

a good article MK you are getting good at this! personally I would settle for another 2-0 win but more importantly the team displays the right attitude, I don't want Liverpool losing to such a poor side, top teams show no mercy let's do the same. Keep the articles coming pal, I love reading them.

I know what you mean by the way markp08. I can see a few changes, but i think he'll keep the core of the team intact and if he does makes changes, it will be his usual rotation as you say; Gomez for Arnold, Matip for Lovren, Milner for Henderson, Gini for Ox etc. I don't think he'll be throwing in youth players or weakening the team significantly. I personally think he'll start at least 2 of the normal front 3, and then sub them off once we've put on a bit of a show for the home crowd. Oh and don't worry about the disagrees. The positive feedback has already been enough for me to justify my time and it's only been posted less than half an hour ago!

Thanks for reading though guys. Really pleased some people enjoyed and appreciated it! Makes it worth while. Hopefully be back for a last 8 tie in a few weeks!

Salah, I'd like to see Ings or Solanke get half an hour as a sub, instead of the usual 5-10 minute cameo. I'm not sure I'd start them though. Firmino will want to play this. He didn't score against Newcastle and he will want to go into the United game off the back of a goal or two i reckon.

Kingkenny7, fully agree. No mercy! We should be doing what Bayern regularly do to Arsenal, and targeting 10 goals on aggregate.

Good point on Firmino! I would like to see Firmino and Solanke up top and Mane and Ox as a midfield/ wings as our attacking force tonight. Rest Salah and if needed he can help from the bench.
Mane needs to start, ni need to interrupt his form as he is just becoming the Mane we know and want tk see (5 goals last 3 games)
Ings I don't think is ready for such start and full 90 at CL level, so getting him on for Firmino around 60-65 minute would be the best for him.

Great read MK, as much as rotation makes sense for the United game, I too think a 70-80% first team 11 would show we are taking the CL seriously and also, if we get a high scoring overall result over two legs, it should send shockwaves round Europe, as I know from the past when Bayern, Dortmund, Barcelona etc tear teams apart over two legs, it made me stand up and take notice.

My only constructive criticism of the article is I'd work in the future to trim it down slightly. I myself end up repeating the same points in different words more often than not, so I totally understand how it happens!
