Did the exact same, they were fairly pathetic until the last 20 minutes. Didn't deserve anything from the match IMO.

Yeah thanks guys. I was reading posts saying "well done Palace" etc and though we ended the weekend in 2nd. Oh well, the table makes happy reading for a liverpool fan, I reckon we'll do them at weekend, I really do. Wasn't so sure before Newcastle game and if it was at anfield I wouldn't be so confident but at theatre of has beens they will have to come on us and hence, we will demolish them. 1st real test for Vvd imo, okay spurs but I thought virgil played very well in that game (still don't know how spurs came away with a point)

I'd be happy with a point in Manchester and a point at the shed.

haha was going to post the exact same thing! seems I'm not alone! so it may just be the case that Liverpool fans flooding the airwaves at 50mins provided the impetus manU needed to push on and get the win! lesson in perspective required after both bad times and especially in good times too! lol.

It changes nothing. While finishing above united would be nice we still have to get points from them, chelsea and everton. They will not be the ones to potentially drop out of the top 4, us, chelsea or spurs will, united have too much in the way of resources in that squad at the moment. We still have to get a result and for me the key game is against chelsea. Win that and our place is all but assured.

I can't get Keegan out of my head - I'd love it! Love it if we beat them. Come on Reds, it's about time we slapped them at old Trafford.

Saw nothing tonight that made me think they will not do anything other than sit back and be organised and try to catch us on the counter attack. They won't be open and attacking, they will give little space away and they will be very, very hard to break down. Like Stoke only with more money. Will be a tight edge game unless we score a few early goals and draw them out. Can't wait for the battle of tactics and styles.

Haha me and my mate were watching the game together, sad thing is he was a united fan so after giving it the big one for going 2-0 down I had to say something right? 😂.

I think you it's fairly clear who is most like to miss out when you look at the table and that is Chelsea. That said, man utd are not safe, especially if we beat then at weekend. The pessimist in me keeps telling me not to count our chicken yet. Bad results at Chelsea and utd cold see us in real trouble.

Honestly kimura, saying they are stoke with more money is an insult to stoke. Having said that, chelsea's performance yesterday was shocking, i don't know whether conte's own personal situation played a hand, but to see the league champions play like that for a full 90 minutes was a disgrace.

The fixtures for Utd other than ourselves are fairly easy, and in that I include the fact they have Arsenal at home
We have Utd, Everton (who will raise their game) and Chelsea away
Spurs have Chelsea and City

So- if Chelsea do pull it together they affect the position of both us and Spurs

I’m not even seeing the slightly/ rotun femsle even in the dressing room getting ready to go on stage yet.

Ultimately, our fate is in our hands, we shouldn't rely on others doing it for us. What I saw last night was a United team that can be got at and I think they are beatable at Old Toilet, but we have to be right on it from the start.

I don't think that either of their midfielders should be given time on the ball as Matic and Pogba both like time and space and I think that Henderson and Oxlade snapping at them from the off will set the tone, I don't think their defence is that good with players who have pace and movement, so the only obstacle is De Gea.

Bad results at man united and Chelsea still leaves us above Chelsea and in 4th place. It's the results in the other matches that we have to be concerned with. Let's not forget that there are also other important matches coming up - Chelsea v Spurs, Man city v man united. , Spurs v Man City, man united v Arsenal. We are in a better position than this time last year and hopefully even better next season.
