From the FA statement and literally every news report on the matter:

"However, we are completely satisfied that the allegation was made in absolute good faith by Holgate and that there is no suggestion of this being an intentionally false or malicious allegation. "

So nothing will happen to Holgate. End of.

I'm going to get this in early, could we just try and avoid demanding that Holgate be burned at the stake? Personally, I don't know how he could've heard something racist from Firmino when no one else around him did and Portuguese language experts and lip-readers with multiple replays found nothing, but apparently he did and we have to accept that. And the last thing the game needs is players from racial minorities fearing they might face reprisals if no evidence is found and leaving racist remarks to them unreported.

No charge has been made against Firmino and it doesn't seem to have effected his form. So let's just draw a line under it and move on.

I’m not sure I buy it. Holgate acted like a fool, dangerously shoved an opponent from behind because he’s a tool, and then FALSELY cries victim. all coincidental and I’m sure there’s more to it than this, so I guess let’s just be glad Bobby is still a hero 😎. My bs meter is dangerously approaching the red for Holgate but I’ll withold judgment for now!

Many of us knew there was nothing to see here cos the ref and Everton players did not even react to what Bobbie said and the ref himself, was two two feet away from Bobbie.

TBF, I totally forgot about this non story cos that is all it was, a non story. We will never know what Holgate was thinking at the time tho, I wonder how you can say someone called you a racist slur in another language whereas you don't even know what the racist slurs are in said language. Hmmm, funny that, right? Either way, we move on.
