Really hope VVD starts tomorrow. Couldn't deal with kane scaring the life out of Lovren again.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m pretty sure Lovren was beset by personal woes at the time, suffering from a lack of confidence and possibly slightly injured when he came up against Kane at Wembley. I’m pretty sure Lovren won’t be ruined in the same way as he was earlier in the season. I hope not anyway.

I want lovren to start this game for the exact reason the original poster mentioned. Lovren will dominate Kane tomorrow and vvd will mop up the pieces.

Absolutely take livren or klavan over matip. Both of those 2 seem to have the kind of personality that lifts their game around a strong CB partner. Whereas matip seema to become even more casual and laboured than he already is!

It was unfair to play him at that time ed0333. I think he has been good since.

VVD and Lovren could form a solid partnership, I hope they get a run of games together. Klopp needs to settle on his first choice back 4 and karius and play them every game.

I’m still 100% behind replacing Lovren but he is better than Matip, in all honesty I’d rather play Klavan over them both!
