Hi eds,

seeming that we won't be signing anyone tonight, could you clarify I few things for me.
1- Do the owners expect klopp to end every transfer window with profit from player sales?
2- Why didn't we re-invest the money?

Also I would love to know your opinions on the owners, do you think they lack ambition?

{Ed001's Note - of course they don't. Re-invest what money? We didn't get £140m cash handed over in duffel bags to spend. Klopp makes the final decision on all transfers, the owners are fully behind him and what he chooses to do.}

In your opinion ed do u think this is a gamble for top 4 ambitions not making the squad stronger, we are relying on front 3 too stay fit an in form, as we have seen mane looks of the pace lately, if any of the above happens we are relying on solanke who is raw, an Danny ings who is coming back of 2 years injury hell, then there is woodburn I have faith in but he again is totally raw at the required level . I jus can't get my head around the club not wanting too strengthen, do u agree or do u have faith in this squad too carry us through.

{Ed001's Note - it is a gamble when you buy players as well. There is enough there to get us top 4.}

But we will still receive that money in instalments, just because we haven't got it all up front, what was stopping us doing similar and getting a replacement for coutinho? We will not see that money! Fsg play a blinder again! 💲💲💲.

{Ed001's Note - why do people continue to blame FSG? Klopp is the one making the decisions on transfers.}

FSG were happy to have spent big in the summer on both. Keita and van Dijk whilst keeping Pipco. So I think that answers that one.

It’s not just a case of spending the money. If that was the issue we could have bid £140m for VVD.
Bringing in new players is a delicate process. If players think there will be a huge player turnover twice a season they will instantly feel unsettled. Sometimes a player’s personality just doesn’t fit with the team.

In the past our “near deadline” signings have included Andy Carroll and Mario Balotelli. 2 players who had a lot of issues to say the least.
Signing a player requires a lot of preparation and hard work. Rushing the process at the last minute is not a good recipe for success.
Sure we all expected PipCo to go but that doesn’t mean the right player with the right mentality will be available. Maybe the right player got injured?

There is no FSG mystery underhand plan. We just didn’t have the opportunity to get the right player in.

So klopp's whole motto is not to panic buy? He must have serious confidence in his players, because majority of the fans believe we need reinforcements. Excited but terrified to see how this season plays out.

I'm backing Klopp's trust in his players. Ox and salah came in. to me they more than make up for losing coutinho. especially as all the facts this season showed that we haven't missed coutinho at all. People missing that we much better depth this season compared to other seasons when we'd lose torres, suarez etc. I mean a season or so ago our bench was full of kids. now we can rotate between seasoned pros. it's good stuff and more to add in the summer.

our useless squad is now 3rd in the table. so looking forward to them continuing to rise up to the challenge rest of the way. back to back top 4 is no mean feat, especially for us as we've not been in the CLs back to back seasons since whenever it was.

Not missed coutinho? Sure could have done with his key for the west brom and Swansea games.

Yeah cause things like that never happened before Coutinho left. Don't put him on a pedestal.

I would have thought the stupidity of panic buys had been very well demonstrated over the years. There seem to be some people who want a “name” signed. We have unearthed fabulous players by being careful and buying the right players at the right time. Sure not every one works out but we do ok.

You appoint a good manager and then you let him get on with it. Klopp is totally right not to panic buy. The one thing I personally would like him to do is sort out Can to sign that contract. He’s not perfect but he’s bloody good. Get behind the manager on transfers.
