Thank you Southampton! On to tomorrow night now, despite how it looks on paper, extremely difficult game, let's get the 3 points. YNWA!

With Spuds facing three of the top 6 in their next 3 fixtures including us we have a great chance to pull away over the remainder of this month and help to cement that top 4 place.

Conditions are bound to be difficult tomorrow which may make Swansea fancy it. We got to go there and win nasty. Another van Dyke goal from a corner maybe?

They are bottom of league, we need to start being more confident on here. Play like we played against a City and score a bagful.

Top four?

I can't contain my excitement.

Forget your league titles as this is as much of an achievement.

Who wants to win the league, ay?

Are none of you disappointed that we are the only team who have probably let City run away with the league?

All those draws that we should have won?

This top four fascination has to stop.

Doesn’t matter how they come . Just get the three points tomorrow.

Spurs are capable of beating anyone on their day but they have a nasty run in their next 4. Unt, Liverpool, arsenal then Juve. Their year could come to a crashing halt if things go badly.

Three points earned tomorrow and we have put ourselves in a great position, Arsenal and Spurs fading, don’t really scare me, Chelsea look inconsistent, United I fancied us over but with Sanchez I don’t know, but top 4 is most likely ours, spurs look out of ideas. Davey cheer up we’re a team barley in the CL of late and getting it regular is a step in the right direction. One wasn’t built in a day. This sector of fans expecting everything on a silver platter has to stop!

It’s not over yet Davey 👍.

The thing is Davey, like it or not cementing top 4 is the way we will build towards league success. The financial rewards and prestige of playing in the champions league are very important.
Building a lead over 5th place is vital as we re-start the champions league. It will be a lot easier for us to progress towards number 6 if we can maintain a lead over 5th place.

The league is very unlikely, top 4 is essential and number 6 is definitely still on. 🏆.

4th place is a minimum that should be expected, with the way we are playing and the team we have we should be aiming for the title, unknown it's unlikely city will drop 15 pts (after we win tomoz) but whilst there's still a chance we should go for it. As it stands we should be expecting to finish 2nd and a cup. We have proved good enough to beat good teams.
But as this is football and any thing can happen and we could end up. with nothing. I'm just really enjoying watching our team play and at last we are only adding what we need in players and not wasting money.

Ah yes, because no team ever draws games, the mighty liverpool should be exempt from suffering such embarrassing results. We are where we deserve to be. The league does not lie. We are not in the shape to challenge city at the moment, their defence may not be great but their midfield is streets ahead of ours. Their goalkeeper is also not a total maniac. They have shown the maturity and quality to turn draws into wins, which we have not. No team was ever going to challenge city this season, they have played as good football as i have seen in my lifetime. As for us, leaving out city there are another 5 teams competing for 3 champions league places. Top 4 would be a great success to see us keep pushing forward.

Who cares abouts the other teams concentrate on our own and get behind the lads we are on a nice run and may it continue 3 pts 2mrw is all that matters!

Davey mate we are making progress 1st klopp season got to Europa league final and finished 8th, 2nd season finished fourth, 3rd season we qaulified an progressed to next stage of champs league an we in fourth all of this has been done playing some of the best football I have seen in 27years, these are different times mate the competition is stronger than us as money is power these days but we are definitely building in the rite direction, it's up too the club as a whole too somehow establish us too seriously be challenging every year for the league but it's seriously hard work, I want us too win cups an enjoy success but u have too holdy ya hand up an say other teams are stronger.

14.) 21 Jan 2018

Be realistic
We can’t win the league this year
But if we get top 4 and maybe a trophy I would regard the season as a success.
Hopefully with the arrival of Keita and a new GK in summer we can have a real push for the title next season.

I think Top 4, FA Cup win and Champions League Semi-Final would constitute a good season for us.

Klopp needs to start delivering.

We will win tomorrow and win well in my opinion. After recent form and results how people can say bottom of the league Swansea will be a tough game and will take any sort of win baffles me. We need to have a winning mentality if we are going to achieve things, have some faith we are as the boss says 'in a good way'

17.) 22 Jan 2018
22 Jan 2018 01:22:01
After recent years dross a couple of consecutive champions league qualifications and a decent cup run or two would be great. A trophy would be lovely but if not, progress is still progress.

Sorry Davey but that comment is blinkered at best. United and Chelsea both drew 5 games, at least 3 of which they utterly dominated - perhaps attacking slightly less than us but equally being much more defensively solid then us and not having those hairy moments. We are not by any means the 'only team' that let City run away with the title - City went on a phenomenal run and we all failed to keep up despite having the theoretical ability to do so.

And as for the general sentiment - no-one is happy with top 4 and we all want silverware this season. But not being able to win the league doesn't make top 4 insignificant. It's vital that now we're back on the big stage, we stay there and if we can do so without the horrible qualifiers, even better.
