Hi Eds

I have a question for ED001 concerning Daniel Sturridge.

If Sturridge was to leave, on loan or a permanent, would you consider his career at Liverpool as successful one. I know many correctly point out his injury record, missing an incredible amount of matches since he joined, but he was also an integral part of the side that almost won the Premier League. On his day I believe he is one of the best finishers in the Premier League, but he lacks the pace to create space for him to actual use this talent now.

Would be interested to hear your opinion as I am torn on the matter.

All the best to the eds and I hope February comes quickly, otherwise you will have to answer the same transfer questions again and again.

{Ed001's Note - how many trophies did he win? So no, not successful.}

Spent most of his time with LFC either on the bench or treatment table. Had a very good first 18 months with us, but after that it went downhill real fast. Also we never won anything while he was with us, so it is disappointing for a player of Sturridge's calibre and a club of LFC's size.

Talent undeniable but Injuries ruined him, and as ed says he/ we hasn’t won anything.

His only successful season came when he was playing alongside Suarez, and let's face it when Suarez was with us he was arguably the best forward in the world. I could have scored 20+ goals that season with defenders worrying about what he was doing and leaving others open.

It's a real shame how his injuries have crippled his career, but he has not really cut it at LFC and it's time to move him on.

Suarez made Sturridge the player he 'was' then he lost his confidence/ will to play after Suarez left, he either gave up or just didn’t have the work rate to play as a lone striker whereas with a top strike partner he was able to flourish. Then injury destroyed what was left of him unfortunately (his pace) : (.
