In regards to the similarities between Fowler's goal vs United at Old Trafford in the mid 90's and Firmino's goal on Sunday, can anyone remember if Gary Neville said it was a foul on John Stones in match commentary, I was watching US commentary personally?!

It'd be interesting, as if memory serves, Fowler out-muscled/ shouldered Neville aside like Firmino did to Stones and (again if memory serves) Neville vehemently claimed a foul at the time back in the 90's.

No, I don’t think a foul was mentioned until after the game by Man City fans feeling hard done by. However, considering all the screaming and jumping and shouting going on, along with too much booze in me, I could very well be wrong.

A foul? Never in a million years.

I'm not sure what Neville commentated about that but judging by how soft free kicks and penalties are dished out nowadays, I think the ref would have blown for a foul if Stones went down.

Thanks all, just to clear one thing up - Richard "Tarmac" Keys and Andy Gray were adamant on their channel that is was a foul lol.
They were furious it seemed lol.

Spot on, Nick. Both of those clowns afre a joy to watch. It seems that it is physically killing them to give LFC or Klopp any credit when we win or play well. Now if we have a negative result or our defender or K made a mistake even when we win, the fangs are out.
