I keep reading about how Mane has had a worse season this year.

It's just not true though. Last year he finished with 13 goals (one every 172 minutes) and 8 assists.

He already has 9 goals (one every 158 minutes) and 6 assists.

So not only is he scoring more, he's also on course to directly create more as well.

People even had the gall to call his City goal a miss-hit, even though he did the exact same thing against Burnley a couple of weeks ago!

There are only 2 reasons why Mane has been accused of having a worse season than the last. Those 2 reasons are Salah and Firmino. Mane has not been bad at all. In fact, this is his best season in terms of goal scoring in his Premier League career, so far. His only problem has been that he's been eclipsed by others. Considering injury, illness and suspension has hampered his season so far, and yet he has still scored vital goals that have earned us points against Watford (1point gained), Crystal Palace (2 points gained), Burnley (2 points gained) and Man City (2 points gained) off the top of my head. Without those 7 points, we're out of the top 4 scrapping with Arsenal over who gets to be the least of a laughing stock.

Mane for me is still the best left sided forward in the world after Neymar. Some may say Hazard, but Mane has out scored him this season, despite Hazard playing as central striker on a few occasions, and barely missing a game. Hazard has flattered to deceive in nearly every season, and the only time he finished with a decent tally of goals, most of them were penalties. Mane is less pretty, much he is miles more effective. Maybe the only other players who even have a right to make a claim they're better than Mane, are Carrasco, Insigne, Coutinho and Sane. I wouldn't swap Mane for any of them though, personally.

I think Liverpool fans sometimes don't realise how lucky we are to have this fella. Just look at how many times he won possession back against Man City. His finishing, his creativity, and his tenacity are almost unrivalled. As a trio, i don't think there is a better front 3 in Europe than ours, except maybe Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe. It's hard to judge them though as Lacazette, Hazard and Giroud were 30 goal a season players in France and none of them are even in double figures yet this season!

Mane Mane, do do do do do do.

We need to show him the love as he equally as important as firmino and Salah.

personally i think Mane has been very good this season as well. and he very much suits how klopp wants his team to play. to add to what u just said about his goal tally and assist, he has another half a season to play.

he has however, looked frustrated with himself the past couple of games, so im happy he scored that goal against (what a goal as well), i hope he's not beating himself over his performances, because it isn't that bad, even when he's not playing well, which says a lot.

In fairness MK, wasn't most of that talk in mid December where he'd done little and had missed a number of glorious chances in a row/ failed to make easy decisions to pass rather than shoot?

Since the Arsenal game he's massively recovered his form, bolstered his figures with 2 goals and an assist and generally been back to the absolute menace usually is. I think people were mostly worried by those over the top selfish decisions, taking on hard shots when there are easy passes to basically open goals available. But he got over their impact so we did too and he's back to being part of the fab 3! (sorry, I really like Ox but he's not making up the fab 4 yet)

Mane is miles better than Hazard in my opinion. It's a non starter. He works harder, he scores more despite not being the penalty taker, he creates more, and he has never downed tools to get a manager sacked.

Hazard is a fantastic player, but for all his talent, he rarely ever impacts the score line directly. If i was banging on about pass completion or shot conversion, you'd have a point, baby driver. I do think Hazard is the best in the league at taking players on, but so what when he constantly smashes his shots off target and rarely ever passes the bloody ball?

Mane scores and creates more goals than Hazard and that to me is enough to put him ahead, even if you don't consider Mane's more complete all around game to go with it. Mane is fast becoming the most under rated player in the league, purely because his team mate Salah has made him look average by literally outscoring Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo.

I love Mane. I really do. and every game I wish him the best.
He was unstoppable last season and we really really missed him in the winter.
then Salah came in took all the light away from Mane.
But it seems like Mane is starting to play for the team as opposed to himself which I saw in the recent games. minus city.
He's getting there. I love the guy and wish him continued progression.

I think he's just took a bit of time being moved over to the left so that Salah can play off the right, he looks on track to get over 15 now so yankfully it's worked and we all know what Salah has been doing.

It was that shot in the Everton game which tarnished him. Everyone, except maybe Salah, has had a small dip in form so far this season but that was the most high profile mistake in a high profile game which cost us. People always remember the one mistake rather than the loads of positives. I'm just glad he seems back and scoring and generally being the Mane we all know and love.

Shaky start to the season with the injury and being in and out of the team but you can only see him getting better and better as the season goes on from now. Top player in my eyes!

Yeah he was just going through a rough patch of form but seems to have recovered from it. Hope he continues his improvement.

We will see the best of Mane in a Red shirt next season based on the Keita effect.
