All this talk of strikers and wingers joining is crazy we need a creative hard working midfielder

In all seriousness though, it does look like it really is Griezmann we want. He's a lethal goal scorer who can play across the frontline so it's hard to be too disappointed. If we had 4 top versatile forwards, we'd certainly be hard to stop going forward. I just find it hard to accept it's being considered a priority when we have no top class midfielders, only 1 good centre back, no top keepers, and only decent options at full back. It seems like we're putting all our eggs in the "we'll outscore you" basket.

If Sturridge leaves and Ings goes on loan that leaves us light up top so it could be a possibility. If we're going to sign a forward we may as well aim high. I know most don't want to mess with the system as Firmino has been awesome and creates the space for others to exploit but give Firmino a roaming role behind a striker and I believe he would be just as effective. Just my opinion but what ever happens I'm excited with the direction we're going in and I haven't felt this way since Rafa.

Agree with your points MK but if 3 months ago someone said swap coutinho for Griezmann and say 50 mil to go and buy a keeper as well would you take it?

If somebody had said sell Coutinho and get a keeper, I'd have ripped their bloody arm off! Never mind Griezmann and £50m to go with it 😂.
