On Twitter people seem to think Ox is a deity.

We cannot win the premier league with him in our first choice 11 and anyone that says otherwise is flat out delusional.

"First choice 11" doesn't really exist anymore with rotation and injuries are going to play a part. Even if we do have 11 ahead of him playing there is 5 people in that team that he could come in and replace without a huge drop in quality which is still a very valuable asset to have.

Bitter Everton fans, deluded United fans and jealous Arsenal fans. Leave them to it 😂

There is only one Everton fan worth listening to, and he is part of our community. I refer of course to Stef.

You are crazy. Give the lad a bloody chance he's been here since August and already becoming a fan favourite on and off the field.
I'm so happy he's here. and he can only get better.
If you genuinely cannot see how dedicated he is to improving his game then I don't know what to tell you.
He's trying so hard.

Good squad player for me.

One player only won’t win you the league mate, but it’s nice to have someone with a bit of passion for our club. He might not be Messi, but at least the lad is trying to work hard and improve for LFC.

You all talk of hard work like it means anything. Dejan Lovern works hard, don't see you defending him.

Everyone is so impressed with Ox, tell me if he had 4 goals and 4 assists on the year would everyone think he is Iniesta reincarnated? Give me a break guys.

What a silly post. Again this stupid focus on winning the league, as if we have a right or there is a way to assemble a squad that will definately win you the league. As if everyone isn't trying to do the same.

What a lovely sentiment to slag off our newest player, barely been here a few months, has done nothing but knuckle down, work hard and improve. You can't even give a reason behind your bashing.

I am not his biggest fan, but give the lad a bit of time. He is certainly doing better than Gini and his set pieces are very good so far.

Kirbydinsmore, it made little sense, but I'm guessing you're slagging off Ox's goal/ assist return, citing that because he has 2 goals and 2 assists by the mid point of the league campaign, he will finish on 4 and 4.

Since signing for Liverpool, Ox has averaged a goal/ assist every 188 minutes of playing time. 3 goals, 3 assists in 1129 minutes (he has an additional goal in the CL, and assisted Virgil's winner in the FA cup, on top of those in the Prem) .

In a normal season, once a player is settled, players will play close to a rough average of 3400 minutes. So if he carries on at a goal/ assist every 188 minutes he looks good for more like 18 goals/ assists a season once he is cemented into the starting XI (which will be next season in my opinion) . That would perfectly tie in to the figures he hit in his final Arsenal season of 6 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.

You can't just use stats that carelessly mate. You've not actually looked at them in any detail. Even my slightly more detailed analysis is still all based on numbers on a piece of paper. Ox might improve exponentially once he's a regular starter and do better than expected, or he might capitulate under the pressure to be a key player and do worse than expected. It's all just predictions, but if you are going to make a prediction based on statistics, you might as well do it correctly!

I think he has been fine. You need players like this with some grit. He also has a good cross in for corners.

Did we just win a game in the 90+ minute because of an Ox delivery from a free kick?

What is wrong with people, have some respect. Leicester won the league with way worse players than Ox. Hell, United won it with Anderson and Tom Cleverley, who wouldn't make it in my Sunday league team.

Not his biggest fan but he’s been patient, worked his socks off when he’s played and shown some quality. Still think we paid too much, but it’s an intangible matter to fans really. He can at least take a decent corner.

the most important factor for me is that he WANTS to play for Liverpool, I have no doubt he will Improve under klopp.

When the only thing good you can say about a player is "he is working really hard" he isn't good.

Name one specific facet of ox's game that has gotten better?

The delusion is much worse than I thought and it's not just Twitter I see.

Energy. Forward runs. Tackling and breaking up play. Plays with his head up. Splits the lines. Assists. And corners.

Coutinio averaged a goal every 4 games.
Ox is doing great and I think there is more to come from the lad.

Well in that case Kirbydinsmore, please feel free to have a break from constant slating of our player. Ox is clearly wanted to be here and has shown that he got the talent and right attitude.

Would be good for if all of us fans support our players, instead of being salty towards them. YNWA.
