I feel its very important to bring in a replacement player (what klopp wants) even if we have to over pay in this window.

The team is in good form but its a long season ahead, we are alive in 2 cup competitions.

A replacement (not necessarily) like for like needs to be brought in for first team / squad depth. What is Salah gets injured tomorrow?

I'm 90% sure the club only sold because it had a replacement lined up and that they did not sell in summer as a) the fee was low and b) right replacement were not available.

{Ed002's Note - There was no replacement lined up. The club sold because the player wanted to leave, did not want to play for Liverpool and handed in a transfer request. The club knew about the November 30 deadline and knew Barcelona would be looking to other options so this was the opportunity to sell at what is a very good price - although not the one everyone seems to be quoting.}

The price everyone seems to be reporting ranges from £142-146m, or around €160m I believe.

I know you don’t like going into detail on finances Ed002, but is the price lower or even higher than that?

Thanks and keep up the amazing work you and the other Eds are doing!

{Ed002's Note - It is lower. You need to all drop the thoughts about money.}

I don’t pay for transfer fees out my own pocket so it doesn’t bother me who the club sign and for how much. I don't understand the obsession with money that isn’t your own haha.

Hi Ed002, now that we have had two big transfers, VVD and Coutinho, can we have that day where we can bomb you with money related questions? :D.

{Ed002's Note - Sure, but right now time is tight. I have will be travelling from lunchtime today until Thursday, looking at a house to rent on Friday and then perhaps house hunting next week (as I have cancelled some travel further afield. My highest priority is the Sharkopods for Arsenal, Everton and Spurs - and perhaps a couple of European ones, and then we might fit it in. It may even be something to do after the transfer window.}

So Ed does this mean the club decided to cash out rather than risk not getting the same value later? albeit with the player unhappy at the club as well.

{Ed002's Note - It is time to move on - a player who does not make himself available for games ceases to be an asset very quickly PakRed. Clubs don't want the grief of having a player in the team who wants out and is the focus of attention - they need to find players who want to play for the club and who are the right fit.}

Btw Ed listened to the last Sharkopod yesterday and it was excellent and spot on.

{Ed002's Note - You are very sweet - post of the day.}

why when Liverpool buy is it always higher than quoted but when we sell its always lower than quoted?

{Ed002's Note - It is a consppriracy against Liverpool Les.}

Thanks for the reply Ed002, house hunting always is a pain. I will check again after the window. T-30 days . :D.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks.}
