For people who keep trying to ask the Eds for their opinions on Mahrez, I've done you a favour and used the search function to find a few snippets from the 3 main editors on our pages. (You really should try this function, it took my 5 minutes of a single search on 'Ranieri') .

{Ed025's Note - he's a very good player sami but a whole heap of trouble mate, most of the big clubs would not touch him with a barge pole because he's a sulker and a troublemaker, he was instrumental in the sacking of ranieri and performs when he feels like mate. }

{Ed002's Note - Juventus has a declared interest in Riyad Mahrez but I am not aware of Liverpool showing any interest - and again it makes no sense unless Mane is leaving. Efforts I am aware of relate to left wingers where the club is seen as short. }

{Ed001's Note - yep. Leicester made us look it because they were so up for it, the players were certainly none of those things. Sorry but there were signs of us not having played for two weeks, passing off etc, but no signs of tiredness. There were lots of players getting in each others way, making the wrong runs, but they were making the runs. If they had rested they would have been far worse. This was far more about a bunch of backstabbing *censored* who won the title last season through hard work, working even harder than they did last season to try and prove a point. The only point proved was that they are backstabbing *censored* who downed tools on Ranieri and were fully capable of doing far better than they have been all season, they just couldn't be arsed because they have got too big for their boots. }

So there you have it. Ed025 doesn't think he's got the right attitude despite thinking he's a good player, Ed002 doesn't see the need for another player in that position (and that comment was pre-Salah so it's even less of a priority now! ), and Ed001 had to censor his own post because of how much he dislikes the bloke!

So stop asking the Eds for their opinions, please 😂 Mahrez is a flake, who we don't need. Let's not even open the discussion about ability as that is a redundant point considering his lack of consistent effort and the lack of requirement for another mega money winger at Liverpool.

I don't see your point really. Ed002 said nothing and Ed001 also wasn't keen on Mane from memory. You do realise that the Eds are human and have an opinion like everyone else? It certainly doesn't mean they are right, especially on an opinion of a player. I would suggest making your own mind up and not hanging on ever comment of an Ed.

To be fair mate those replies from the eds were from quite a long time ago, but thankyou for digging them up for the rest of us.

I personally think mahrez is a good player and the reaction to ranieri being sacked was an over reaction and he did not manage the situation properly. Sure he may have lost the players but we will never know why, it appeared to me his man management after winning the league was not great. Slaven Bilic was also guilty of this and yet was not defended to the extent ranieri was. We have also just spent £75 million on a defender who has been sulking for half a season so we aren't really ones to talk about attitude.

LFC diamond, totally missing the point of my post. I'm not saying the Eds are right, I'm saying use the search function and stop asking repeat questions 🤦🏻

I happen to disagree with the Eds, as i think Mahrez is actually over rated as a player as well as being poor attitude wise. He is a one game a month player. Sure he'll probably win you that game, but you also play with 10 men for the rest of the month, waiting for his good game. I don't think he's a good player, I do not think he's fit to replace Mane, and i would not have censored the words if it was my site and i could say how i really feel 😂.

MK the whole reason we're here is to get the Ed's opinions on things. The search engine isn't accurate and again, sometimes you simply can't find what you're looking for.

Irish Rover, i have no point of my own aside from to use the search function. I was simply reposting what the Eds have said because people keep asking for their opinions on Mahrez. I'm not saying we shouldn't buy Mahrez because the editors said so, I just dug out their opinions because even I am fed up of people asking for them! The only part of this post that was my opinion was the last paragraph.

You're welcome by the way Woolback. This isn't really aimed at you mate (although i did see you asked for Ed001's opinion) . At least it was at the end of a good post which i enjoyed reading, rather than a lazy one line question which adds nothing to the site.

I hope it didn't come across as rude. I was just making the point that the search function can save everyone time, whilst I ironically wasted the editors time to edit these very posts 😂 seriously though guys, just one word and about 10 minutes to trawl through the results. That's probably the same amount of time it takes to ask a question, wait for an answer, and then reply "thanks Ed" or "sorry, i won't ask again" depending on who picks up your post 😂.

Mahrez will be an excellent signing who will also be eligible to play in the champions league. We only have 2 wingers with AoC as back up. Mahrez will be an excellent cover for salah and if required, salah can play upto with mahrez taking the left flank.
IMO Mahrez will light up anfield. I hope we sign him . fingers crossed.

I'm amazed some people find their way back to this site if they can't use a search engine!

The search function on this site is brilliant. It literally pulls up every post for years that includes the word you searched for, and lists them chronologically. The only problem i have had on it, is that it's hard to find the latest on Can, because can is also a common word in the English language. But if you use a bit of initiative and search for 'Emre', 'Juventus' or 'contract' then you can usually find what you want in a few minutes.

I get the impression people can't be bothered to search through the results. Even if people just skim back through the banter pages to check it hasn't been answered recently, it might cut down on the repeat questions.

It looks like people are too busy jumping to conclusions about me taking the Eds opinions as fact, to actually read my post though, and thus extract my point from it. Perhaps that inability to read is why we have so many repeat questions in the first place 😉.

I still think a separate page could be uploaded to list players that we are linked with. Maybe put them into categories of likely/ less likely and no chance/ every chance. Perhaps then a sentence to state where we are with that player. Perhaps something you could do MK. It should save a lot of pointless repetitive questions and constant searching.
