Was looking at our wage bill and it's quite high I think it's the 3rd highest in the PL if I'm not mistaken. There are players who are getting paid way over their actual value to the team like : Milner 120k, Sturridge 120 k, Markovic 35K, Henderson 100K, Wijnaldum 90K, Flanno 35K, Clyne 70K.

For me all of them should be sold and replaced with academy players. Some may argue abt Hendo and Wijni but they are only backup players (from next season anyway) . That should allow us to offer better salary on new arrivals for the 1st team without explosing the wage bill.

I think your expectation of what you can get for 70-100k these days is a bit high. Look at what City and Utd are paying.

You’re right perhaps on Sturridge and Clyne given their actually playing time but they were worth that when playing and on form, and every club carries some wages for players that aren’t contributing due to form/ fitness/ injuries at some point. We can’t unilaterally decide to sell players ad-hoc without their agreement.

Clyne won't be playing for us again if the rumours are true .

Same goes for Flanno. Good thing we are proper covered on the right back with TAA and Gomez, even tho I would like another to come in and Gomez given a run on CB, when the time is right.

that would be a good way to drop us out of the race for any competition.

So there are only 2 clubs paying bigger wages? Would have thought we were 5th or 6th on that list.
United, City, Chelski, Arsenal. assumed we probably came next.

United, City and Chelsea all have higher wage bills than us. I don't remember how we stack up against arsenal and spurs, but I seem to remember spurs being lower than ours.
