Coutinhos departure may unfortunately show up the lack of quality in midfield for the rest of the season. Creatively we could really struggle especially against teams that sit. I don't see a replacement in January. This could actually be a huge blow to the rest of our season. The money means nothing if we don't finish in the top four and hopefully win something.

I very much agree. It would be nice if we could sort something out to bring in Keita this window. Otherwise, I expect we will struggle to achieve a comfortable top 4 finish.

We don’t have one player in that midfield with an eye for a pass or who can be a threat from shooting from distance.

Which of course we had already guaranteed would happen if we kept coutinho, oh wait even with coutinho we only have to lose one game to not be able to win a trophy and it’d be a fight for the top 4. We might lose in the cup and we might not get top 4 and we might not but we will never know if coutinho leaving will impact that.

Our win record is better without Coutinho than it is with him in the team.

I think it's starting to sink in amongst fans now that it was a dreadful decision to let a world class player leave mid season.

{Ed025's Note - not much you can do about it really mate..

We have a new weapon against the teams that sit now, Big Virgil gives us a genuine threat at set pieces now, something we have lacked for a while. We have started the yr 2 wins from 2, without Coutinho and Salah, with both winners coming from the Centre Backs contributing to the goals. We have for too long struggled with corners at both ends of the pitch. We have paid 75 million to try and help rectify this. Come on you reds.

FC8, how is it a dreadful decision to let a player (who has clearly told the club and anybody with functioning ears) that he wants out at all costs, leave? It is well-known that if a player no longer wants to play for you, there is nothing you, the coach or the owners can do about that, right? So with that in mind, what do you think the owners or Klopp should have done to keep Cou?
