Sad news about Coutinho but life moves on. I trust Klopp to buy wisely. My only issue is that we struggle to keep a good team together because every time we get close we lose our best players. What is the formula for keeping these players? Can we just shut out communication from Barcelona and Real Madrid?

{Ed025's Note - not really hessle if a player wants to go he will go mate, forget about contracts they are not worth the paper they are printed on..

Also it was stated he was letting it be known too staff management an most importantly the players he wanted out, that's a parasite in my eyes an as good As he is do we want a star player in our squad telling other players he wants out, no! , We want players telling each other how much they want the club too b successful an wat they can do about it so adiós amigos, jus hope we get sum more new blood in.

Absolutely eds25 players will always go to the biggest teams and in the next 5 years they will all be in England.

{Ed025's Note - you could be right ace..

When you sign for Barcelona for a big deal 50000+ people turn out just to see you do some kick ups.

When you play for Barcelona you can pretty much guarantee you will win something every year.

On average it rains in Liverpool on 156 separate days every year. In Barcelona it's 55 days.

10 minutes from Barcelona is the Costa Brava, 10 minutes from Liverpool is Formby Beach.

You can see what the attraction is.

We at least have to be challenging for the highest honours every year to try and be a more attractive proposition. But we have to remember it's not just about football to players, it's about their whole life.

You win some you lose some, Coutinho has done amazingly for us, got to thank him for that, now he wants to play for someone else, fair enough.

Thanks for the memories, thank you Barcelona for the money, let's all move on.

{Ed025's Note - great post that dawn..

Thank him? For faking an injury and not doing what he’s paid over £100k per week to do?

Hesslered I think ion some ways it is a compliment to us that we can attract and nurture the sort of players that Barcelona and Real Madrid later on buy. i don't want us to be known as a selling club but if we buy a player for 8.5 mill and sell him 5 yrs later for 145 mill an then buy another player for 36 mill and a year later sell him for (surely salah must be 80 mill plus) then although we are losing quality players the profits and replacements are key.
