My opinion on the holgate firmino incident - I think the ref handled it well, calmed it down, and as long as nothing was said it seems to be the right call - although I would have probably booked both, as refs normally seem to do in these situations.
If firmino didn't get straight back up, and milked it, like a lot of players would have, I could see the ref giving a red though. For me this just reiterates that players have to roll around, or actually be hurt for the refs to act. I actually think he only got up cos he wanted to give him a piece of his mind!
I don't want to see players do it, lallana went down far too easily - but it worked, and whether you call that a dive or not, he didn't need to go down.
You can give as much retrospective action as you like, but lallana helped us win the Derby, if he misses two games, would it be worth it?
He's not going to, but still, something needs to change drastically to stop this happening.

{Ed025's Note - fair and balanced post there mate..

I don’t see what Firmino could have said. The ref was there to hear everything as it was shouted over his head. Holgate and the ref both native English speakers. If something was said in Portuguese that the ref didn’t understand how did Holgate understand it enough to get incensed?
