Hi Ed's. Apologies if this is a silly question, but curious. If a player was to retire from football but then come out of retirement, would he still be bound by the contact he was in prior to his retirement? It would be utterly unprofessional but could a player escape a club that way? Thanks in advance for your reply.

{Ed002's Note - You mean retire half way through his contract? Then his registration stays with the club.}

Ah, so if he was to return to the game he'd have to fulfill his contract bar any special agreement with the club to cancel it?

{Ed002's Note - Are looking for more ways for Liverpool to attempt to cheat or what?}

This is not to do with trying to break the rules but just a curiosity - I assumed if a player retired his contract would be terminated?

{Ed002's Note - it is not to do with the contract.}

Sorry Lil Phil, you can't retire on us and go to Barcelona for free fella - your friends in Spain got to pay that price I'm afraid, nice try though.
£160 million straight cash no add ons if you're offering Barca, thanks!

Petticoat showing there Ed. He clearly meant the player pulling one on the club, not vice versa.

Shouldn't be any different to Allardyce and the money paid to Palace.
