Good Morning Eds and guys Happy new year to all
Just been told by a friend that he read Coutinho is faking injury again and is just protecting himself from injury for his upcoming Barcelona move.
Surely this cannot be true again?
On another note Ed 001 would you consider Malcolm from Bordeaux as a potential coutinho replacement squad wise and would you say he would fit our team better then Lemar would?
Thanks as always and have a nice day.

{Ed001's Note - the club have announced he is injured, any fake injury would require their complicity as they would be able to check. I do think they are being careful to ensure he does not get actually injured though, rather than him faking injury.

I would take Malcolm all day long but he is no Couts replacement nor fit our team better than say Lemar. He is more of a winger/striker to replace someone like Sturridge or Origi, and provide cover for Salah and Mane (or even replace them).}

Thank you for your reply mate and I can let my friend know he is wrong lol
Have a great day.

{Ed001's Note - it is one of those things, both club and player are keeping him out rather than just a player being an arse.}

Ed01 suspicious how these injuries occur during transfer windows. As they say mate there's no smoke without fire.

{Ed001's Note - the club are complicit though mate, this is not him acting up is my point.}

I think id take Draxler and Lemar as they can both similar roles to Coutinho and would improve the squad, or we drop Firmino deeper and buy a Striker.

Ed01 totally understand what you're saying mate. Rather than the club being complicit could it just be a case of them not wanting to air their dirty laundry in public. Rather than risk his value they are keeping quiet until Barcelona meet their asking price.

{Ed001's Note - no, they are fully complicit.}
