Any rumblings about who's in goal today? Klopp's got a big call to make.

{Ed025's Note - not at the moment putney...but it is a big call mate..

I have my fingers and toes crossed that it's Karius! My heart says him, my head says Migs - he's made mistake after mistake in game after game already this season and Klopp has stuck with him regardless so I don't see it changing now.

Ed25, it really is not a big call, IMO. Migs himself knows if he's being honest that he no longer deserves the shirt anymore and should have no qualms with getting dumped. However, I like Ried, think Klopp will want to prove some kind of point (whatever the heck that means) and play Migs. I REALLY hope he's not that dumb and he plays Karius from here on out. Seriously, praying right now.

I suspect that even if Klopp has decided to drop Migs, he won't do it today because he'd be concerned about crushing a player he might need again if Karius gets injured.

What I can see him doing is keeping Karius in the side after he plays in the FA Cup in the new year.

I'd just make the change now to protect the team rather than Migs, personally, but that's me.

He has to be dropped, outfield players get dropped or substituted when not performing.

You may be right, Something. The fact that Klopp is playing Karius in the CL shows he has not given up on him and Karius has been solid in that competition bar his error vs Spartak. It may not be a question of if or when BUT how Klopp wants to go about dumping Migs. I say like you, just do a Pep (with the way he dumped Hart from jump) and get it done. No one would blame him, not even Migs as Migs has been awful at LFC for years now.

At what point does Klopp stop cotton wrapping a player a show enough gumption to drop him if he's not delivering? "Afraid of crushing" MIGs? I'd expect that Migs, just like any other player, fully appreciates the nature of the game and professional enough to deal with it, good or bad.

If he's going to be "crushed" cause of being (rightly) dropped for below par performances, perhaps he shouldn't be playing football to start with. A player has to perform or perish. That's a reality managers must have the cajones to enforce and players the professionalism to accept.

Fact is that Klopp put himself in this right mess. He was naive (and perhaps arrogant) enough to overestimate his ability to turn a turd into chocolate. a bloody Ferrero Richer slab at that.

Even sadder's that he may be too far high up in his own pencil share=pener to acknowledge his own limitations and call upon some help. That'll ultimately be his own undoing.

It's embarrassing how some on here have elevated him to this super manager status. You get the feeling that it's somewhat a sacrilege to even to speak negative of Klopp. Uy doesn't matter that such criticism is made in proportionality.

A poster here even suggested that anything beyond top 4 Klopp would be overachieving. Smh.
Such views don't the club or Klopp himself any justice.
Klopp will rise or fall on his own merit/ lack thereof.
Stop with excuses and demonizing anyone who has a go at the manager.

There are no holy cows here. Klopp has to deliver at Liverpool. and am sure the owners expect much more than a mere top given the investment made into the side. Klopp right now is living off his somewhat fairly distant success at BVB, as Liverpool is living off it's past with practically little achieved in the recent decade.

Both have to get a move on and prove they worth their weight in gold. But with some of the standards set here by some posters, we be a long way off doing that. Time and time again people be rationalising mediocrity and failure thru all sorts of excuses.

Harry comes in for a lot of flak from the Klopp cheerleaders on here. Yet by far he's one of the most realistic of thinkers and posters here. There's a cult around the manager, and folk will stop at nothing to defend it. Sad

My greetings and salutations to you Harry and other like minded fellas here. You a cheerleader of the club. not any one man, player or manager. Keep it going.

Great post RBL mate 👏👏.

{Ed001's Note - what a load of bollox. Harry slags off everything about the club and now he is a cheerleader of the club? Sheer idiocy. RBL you need to learn what support is as you clearly are delusional. I give up.}

Ye RBL that was a load of drivel. Support doesn't have to be rose tinted, but it also doesn't have to be questioning the manager's credibility at every mis-steo.

Ed1 mate I've got lots of respect for you bud . you've been here very very long but unfortunately you've got big tinted klopp goggles. In this matter I agree w/ RBL and ED2 sorry.

{Ed001's Note - are you taking the mick? Did I defend Klopp? I am sick of this crap, read my post or don't bother wasting my time with idiotic irrelevant replies. You have not got a clue about my opinion and I do not have tinted goggles, I just happen to actually watch us play unlike Ed002. And RBL is obviously clueless if he thinks Harry, the least supportive 'supporter' we have, is any kind of club cheerleader when the only thing he does is boo anyone who shows loyalty and support the ones who crap on the club from a great height. If you want to show respect, try bloody reading what I say before replying.}

I support Ed01 100%. I appreciate Ed002 and very much enjoy reading his opinions and his insights on the premier league. What he says about what each club need to do to improve should be required reading, but when it comes to LFC, there is no one I trust more than Ed001.
