Hi Ed01, I've been reading recent articles about Sadio mane's lack form. It's just like Journalists are trying to make mountains out of molehills because basically that's what they do for a living.
It's true he should have passed the ball instead of shooting. The talk of Mane being selfish, started after that game if I am correct. Also how can people accuse him him of being jealous when we know that he assisted Salah many times when they were playing together. It's just like wingers have to keep scoring all the time, if they fail to find the net for two or three games people get on top of their backs.
Do you really think he is doing that bad at the moment?

{Ed001's Note - he is not doing well at the moment, but it is not really an issue, he had an injury and came back off form. It happens, especially when a player recovers as quickly as him, it is in the back of his mind, imo. And yes he is greedy and selfish at times, but that is why he scored so many goals. I am sure he will be back to his best by the end of the Christmas period.}

{Ed001's Note - you are welcome mate.}

I don't think he is a selfish player per se just that in the derby is was an exceptionally selfish moment and one which reflected poorly on him. It doesn't mean he is the worlds worst he is simply off form and trying too hard - all he needs a is a goal or two to give him the confidence and he'll be flying again. Not sure whether i'd start him against Arsenal though, the attack looked very good without him vs Bournemouth though I think both his and Salah's pace would give Arsenal nightmares.

{Ed001's Note - you have to be selfish to take a shot on from range, as the team option is to maintain possession and look to get in closer with a pass. It is not a bad thing to have a bit of selfishness within the team framework and I don't really see why that moment is such a big deal. He is human and chose the wrong option in a split second. Nothing more.}

If now shows the depth we have in these certain positions and I think it’s healthy and good for the team that players have to fight their way back.

In my opinion Mane got caught up in the hype about having the chance to be the first ever player to score in his first 3 Merseyside derbys. I'm sure this was an isolated incident and he will be back to form soon. Salah has shot when he should have passed at times but the Mane incident was amplified because it would have killed off the game.

I think Salah's form may be playing on Sadio's mind a bit. Its possible he feels a little left out and is trying too hard to be the top man again. I hope he is aware that the LFC fans are fully behind him (at least I am) and that he will be a valued member of the first team.
But its also testament to the fact that our team has grown past being a one man army and the absence of even a player of Mane's quality was not missed much against Bournemouth.

Klavy, I'm not sure Mane was aware of that statistic and if he was, then it showed a complete lack of focus on his part. The team comes first. Like Ed, I don't think Mane is selfish as there were no signs of that last season. However, he is thinking or overthinking things way too much, IMO.

On that play vs Everton, it was a rush of blood cos he looked to the side and prolly saw the players screaming for the pass BUT in a split second, he made the wrong choice and boom went the dynamite. I was critical of him at the time BUT Ed has explained the situation perfectly.

Let me be clear, Sadio Mane is a brilliant player and we would not have had the success relatively, last season w/ o him in the side. That is a known fact. Now, he is going thru a rough time so it is up to Klopp and his team mates to help him out cos we need him this season.

I hope him an klopp haven't had a falling out we know wat happens in that situation look wat happened too sahko, mane could feel he is not in his favoured position Salah came along an gobbled that up but who could argue wat mo is doing in that position is world class, the media have started this fab 4 crap but it's nice we can rotate that 4 an still look deadly.

Big players have big ego's big managers also have big ego's so any falling out is not healthy, nothing surprises me these days as players can be petulant, but yes I agree watching Liverpool for 30 years has turned me into a phsyco analyst psychologist.
