For those who want to blame Lovren for today's draw, please consider Mane's (selfishness) failure to square the ball. That was 2 - 0 all day long! As a derby, the game was dire and Everton's tactics were shocking. Ox, Gomez, Salah, Klavan and Henderson played well.

Hoped someone gave Manè a slap at half-time for not passing that ball.

No, it was Mane. Lovren had a very good game and it is arguable if it was even a pena;lty cos Lewin flopped like a fish diving into water.

Mane had a poor game all night. He was playing for himself and trying to take on all comers like he had a point to prove. The chance he disgracefully missed was awful. Solanke worked hard to win the ball and set him on his way. There are 3 LFC players free for a tap in and he goes alone. What the Freak is that? We were never going to have loads of chances in this game so you better bury the ones you have and in a big game, the win is more important than personal gain. Mane is clearly not getting that memo. The reason our front line is potent is cos they are unselfish. The day that gets eroded then we are finished. He'd better get with the programme or get canned cos he's been doing that of late. Check the Spartak game and see for yourself.

Absolutely Mane deserves a ticking off as much as Dejan.

If I was a manager and my player did that he’d be sat next to me before the goal kick was taken. Mane cost us the game today undoubtedly. 2-0 up at half time would’ve crushed them instead the game was left in the balance meaning one wrong decision could get them a point which it did. Calvert lewins clever play and dive fooled the moronic ref who is without doubt one of the worst in the league. He gave the penalty Rooney smashed it down the middle and our keeper dived out of the way. Mane’s greed cost us our cushion which our lack of cost us the game.

Spot on, Jezza. But the moaners will be out on here claming to be hindsight geniuses, blaming the line up or Lovren who did absolutely nothing wrong as Lewin threw his body into him and flopped to the ground. Why? Cos that is the easy route to go to.

Klopps fault dropping players in such a big game! Fumin over the result we should o destroyed them like Sparta then rest players!
Wrong team for me and massive 2 points dropped against the worst Everton team in years!

We lost this at the stroke of half time when Mane instead of passing tried his luck. Very unintelligent of him.

Resting players was correct as we had more 70% possession. Can't blame Lovern either.

Cheers.

there is a difference between not squaring all pass when quite frankly you have the ability to score yourself anyway, and pushing someone over in the box when he’s going nowhere. It’s not an isolated incident regularly through poor decisions or lapse of concentration, lovren got it wrong again today he’s just not good enough.

Barnes, you are contradicting yourself, royally. Mane had no ability to score from there cos there simply was NO angle for the shot as defenders were closing in and Pinky shut out the near post hence, making it difficult for Mane to pick out the far post with his weaker left foot. Had he squared it with his left there were 3 players in Solanke, Salah and Ox waiting and there is NO way he misses all 3 of them with the square ball.

Also, how can you compare the above with Lovren's "push" which in fact, was not a push? How could he have gotten "it" wrong / o actually doing "it"? See the action again via replay from the ref's view. Lewin initiates the contact by barging into Lovren to draw the contact and cos Lovren is bigger and Lewin flopped to the ground like he was shot in the back, the ref got conned. There is NO relationship btw both actions as Mane WAS selfish and Lovren pushed no one.

BR, Lovren was clumsy, he should have headed away the cross, great cross from Rooney by the way, then he got too near Lewin, giving him the chance to make the most of it, Lovren fell for it, the Ref fell for it, and it partly cost us two very important points, as well as the Bragging rites,
Mane wanted centre stage today, we live and learn .

Mane cost us this game.

not klopp
not refreee
not lovern or the everton player who went down.

if the same thing had happened at the other there would haven't been much comolaints.

Lovren should have headed the ball, like defenders do - result 1-0.
Mane was selfish, so was Salah for the goal. If that had hit the post and gone wide then would we be moaning at Salah?
Paisley to Rush before he started acting regularly: If you're in the box and you don't know whether to pass or shoot, put the ball in the net and we'll talk about it later.
