Hi Eds. What are you views on these review panels? I agree diving should be stamped out of the game but the Everton one seemed harsh to me. There was contact but he made the most of it. Possibly the correct decision but difficult. But on the other hand how has Lukaku got away with the two clear kicks at the Brighton defender. Surely that makes a mockery of the system as that seemed so obvious?

{Ed002's Note - They are doing the best that they can - but rememeber you have different types of panels for different types of review. What people want is consistency above all else. The two issues you mention were reviewed by two different panels - Lukaku by three ex offials, Naisse by one ex-player, one ex-manager/coach and one ex-official so they cannot be compared - it won't stop the Everton fans moaning of course. So if it is a move toward consistency maybe it is fine, but it makes matters often forgotten a higher-profile and means more discussion. It won't be long before someone comes along and say we want our two points back if he is found to of benefited from a penalty. If you remove it then less consistency but soon forgotten.}

Going down easily? Ban.

Attempted assault? Nah, can't ban a United player!

Like Sean Dyke would say, it was never going to happen MK, Lukaku is a bully, and he is getting away with it far too often .

Happy, Same way Costa got away with way worse while at Chelsea under a certain bully manager named Mou. Ironically, that is starting to happen now with Lukaku. Funny that.

I think the only way you can genuinely iron out diving, maybe not the minimal contact trips, is to dock the club points! Strong I know, but until you do something strong, you'll never stop it happening! Ban a player from City, Chelsea or to an extent UTD and they'll just play another decent squad player while that ban goes on!

Thanks for the reply Ed. You are correct, consistency is all that is required. But what was the reason for Lukaku being let off?

{Ed002's Note - One of the three ex-officials did not agree with the charge.}
