Does anyone regularly watch the under23's, if so could you give a round-up of the best players, particularly Grunjic playing DM and Ings. Cheers.

I did an article on this quite recently. It didn't include Ings, but he has been playing very well. I'm sure the article will still be on the football news site though.

The u23's won 7-0 the other week and Ings scored 4 and assisted 2! He hasn't played as much since Brewster came back from the world cup though. I think Ings is either going to be integrated into the first team now or sent out on loan. We can't have a 25 year old who might not have a future here blocking Brewster from the next step in his progression, i guess.

{Ed002's Note - I don't think Ings is blocking Brewsters move to Dortmund or Juventus.}

I watched the recent U23 game at Man Utd (W 3-1 ) and I thought Grujic was sensational at DM, very mobile, constantly winning the ball back, making numerous headed clearances from his own box and scoring with his own header at the other end. His decision making for such a young player was remarkable.

Ings looked fit and also impressed until it came to his final ball or attempt on goal when he looked very rusty.

Of the others, Ejaria has an amazing skill set but tends to drift in and out of the game which is understandable at his age. If/ when he learns to impose himself over 90 minutes he will be a top player in my opinion.

Ed002 please tell us Brewster isn’t going? Or only on loan?

Regards

Crooky.

{Ed002's Note - Both clubs are scouting young English talent like Liverpool and other PL sides scout aboroad. He has attracted the attention of both and an approach by one. He moved from Chelsea because of opportunities, maybe he will see again a move might enhance his chances.}

Thanks guys, think Grunjic should get a bit of time in the first team just to check him out, and Ings, after all the injuries I would love to see him be a success.

I'd give Grujic a run out in the DLP role instead of Henderson since he has been impressing in that role with the under 23's. At least he makes an effort to tackle and shove opposition players that try to to run past him. The same cannot be said for Hendo and Gini.

Couldn't really blame him Ed002. We basically replaced him with Solanke last summer. Even Solanke can't get a game despite Sturridge being in well below average form right now.

I'd be gutted to see Brewster leave, but i wouldn't be surprised.

Is there much clubs can do to stop their young future stars being poached by other clubs Ed? I mean I know plenty of clubs, Liverpool included, have done this before so I'm curious as to whether there is any way to prevent this or is it simply unstoppable once a player has made up there mind?

{Ed002's Note - They all want significant amounts of money and guarantees of game time.}
