Morning all
On reflection of yesterday's game it's plain to see that Sturridge is well past it, we might as well play with 10 in the team with him in it pity as great finisher but offers nothing now days, Defence:- look a keeper is only as good as his defence but mings is one of the worst keepers in the league he is simply not good enough and needs to be got rid off probably not till the summer if at all, costs us way more than he saves. Gomes could be a great player has it all if given the chance and a stronger presence in the back line to guide him Kalvan slow but solid what do u expect for £4 million at present id have him in ahead of Lovern and Maltip who is the poor mans Alan Hansen and thinks he's better than he actually is, hats off to Moreno after his midweek disaster played solid, did it ever occur to poeple that maybe, maybe he is out of position because that's where his coach is instructing him to be with the style of attacking football we like to play im not saying its all klopps fault for our defensive frailities and our defence are no worldies but surly they can be coached to defend a lot better as a unit . Midfield :- Henderson tirelessly works his socks off but alas he is too slow the poor man's Stevie G and it's time for James Milner to move on great professional but like Hendo too slow, negative and wasteful if we want to dine at the top table we definitely need more drive, creativity and pace in our midfield Naby will bring some of that but we need to add possibly another 2 or 3 along with Keita (with can and probably Couts going) totally over run in midfield today and I can't understand for the life of me the line up and the late subsitutions but that's Klopp all over lads, should have went for the jugular when went 1 up although resting mane and bobby in a top four game what the hell is that about. I like Klopp but I'm beginning to question him on simple things like team selection, subsituations and obviously our defensive strategy. I still think he could lead us to the promised land but we are 4 or 5 great players short of where we need to be and on reflection of our summer business Salah aside I don't think Klopp knows what we need nor how to fix our problems only time will tell. Anyways on to midweek and burly Stoke we should have more than enough to beat them just depends on what team Klopp picks and whether we bother to turn up or not. Sorry bout the lengthy post but trying to get my opinion of where I think we are not saying its right but just an opinion after yesterdays performance.
Cheers.

Looking forward to our new central defensive combination of Kalvan and Maltip. Two minutes of my life that I will never get back.

Was at game yesterday Henderson was linking play up front and back covering for moreno who you think improved he's got more telling off by his team mates than a spoilt kid always in the box and leaving his man half the pitch to play and cross the ball in running over jumping with his hands behind his back like a 5 year old for me herderson was excellent yesterday and a good captain.

Hahha duffdog you sure you watched liverpool yesterday? Henderson was dribbled past 5 times. He hasn’t won a tackle in 180 minutes. He’s an absolute liability, sideways passing. No balls about him to get on the ball and play a forward pass, no tackles, constantly running out of position aimlessly leaving the back 4 exposed. Needs to be dropped ASAP.

Would he get into the everton team? Nope.

Have to disagree with sturridge, most of the first half he was very isolated especially towards the end. Yes he doesn't have the pace he once did, but he still has value if he stays fit. He should be used in the games where we are favourites, I think yesterday may have been more of a day for firmino, but hey, if Klopp thought he needed a rest.
Once sturridge had a bit of the ball, he made things happen, his feet are still good, and he just has a bit of craft about him.
Let's not forget he may be fit but he is by no means match sharp.

Finally, someone who watched the game and saw what even I was seeing. Spot on, Duffdog. Hendo may not have had his best game BUT the kid run his socks off covering others which is a thankless task for the MOTD highlight-watching brigade. He was covering for near everyone on the pitch and I would ask for the bang awful Milner or the defensively absent Wiji or Co to help him out BUT clearly, they won't.

Sahko, take a day off lad. All the "sideways passing, Hendo is a liability and does not have the balls to play a forward pass" crap is played out, mate and frankly, it is becoming tedious to read. How is he supposed to do the forward passes when he is busy doing the jobs his co CM's should have been doing in addition to his? Did you miss those forward passes vs Saints and Hudd where he was brilliant or vs LC when he scored the winning goal? Like I said, change the record mate.

And no Lerchy, he won't make the Everton team cos he is too good for them. Why? Cos Spurs and City were interested in Hendo 2/ 3 seasons ago before we gave him his new deal. City got Delph instead (yeah, that guy) and I reckon he would generate interest with Spurs now, IMO.

so we had Sturridge who was a yard off the pace, left on for far too long, Klopp brought on Lallana, who as expected, will need a couple of games to get match fit, and left his subs coming on far far too late, Mane on the 89 mins, what's all that about,
its no wonder fans are looking at Klopp and thinking, is he really the right man to win us the League,
he is brilliant going forward, but hasn't a clue about defending, or the midfield working .

I agree with duff hendo had no support from milner or the Brazilian and was all over the pitch covering for others he was waltzed past time and again but by hazard who is not easy to get a boot on he is a good capt so all you matchofthedayers take a break go to a game were you will see the whole picture.

Brilliant post, Tc. It is the same nonsense every time. These Hendo moaners are quick to absorb the other CM's of blame when we get a bad result but never miss a chance to blame him for said result. Or when we win and he plays well like we did in the Saints and Hudd games, they praise everyone BUT Hendo. I wonder why. Could it be that it's cos they don't like and want him gone at all costs? I don't know BUT their bias towards a capt. who takes the heat for his team and works his socks off covering for others who aren't doing their jobs, is deafening.
