Every time we lose you start gushing over other teams players. Chelsea got smashed 3-0 by Roma away in the Champions league. The Roma who sold their best player to us in the summer.

Liverpool fans (not that i think you are one) don't deserve the Champions league if they can't handle a draw or a defeat to one of the best teams in Europe. Sevilla are easily in the top 16 teams in Europe, maybe the top 8. They've won more in Europe in the last 5 years than Liverpool have in the last 30.

We just rocked up to their own patch and slaughtered them for 45 minutes. They came out in the second half with a point to prove and showed they are just as good as us though. It was a good old fashioned slugging fest which ended honours even between two evenly matched teams.

People banging on about how our midfield was useless and we need a solid holding player? One of the best holding players in Europe is N'Zonzi who got blitzed by us in the first 45 minutes. I doubt you'll find any Sevilla fans asking for his or the managers head though, despite them being as bad if not worse than us in the first half half.

If you lot don't want to play against the best teams in Europe and sometimes struggle, don't watch us in the Champions League? Even Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Man City and PSG have been absolutely destroyed in this competition in recent years. You can't pit yourselves against the best players, managers and teams in Europe and then cry over a 3-3 draw away from home.

Liverpool fans are so god damn precious nowadays. Maybe we'd be better off not qualifying in future!

agree MK.

We have to look forward. Think most would taken the run of results in the last four games after the the spurs game.

No you are wrong again. We would be better off if we had players who could keep the ball, defend, communicate, think, head it, hold position.

Name one leader
one player who likes to head it
one player who is a good header of the ball
one player who digs people out
one player who can organise.

Don't get me wrong jordz, I'm livid we drew from 3-0 up. These things happen though, regardless of how many good defenders you have.

Go back about 18 months. We are 3-1 down against Borrussia Dortmund on aggregate. With their away goal, we needed 3 in the second half to progress. Dortmund had arguably the best centre back and one of the best leaders in world football in Mats Hummels that day. We scored 3 anyway and won 4-3 on aggregate.

Go back 12 years. AC Milan 3-0 up at half time. They had Cafu, Dida, Nesta, Maldini, Kaka etc and yet they got ripped apart in the second half by Liverpool and threw the game away.

2 years ago PSG are 4-0 up on aggregate against Barcelona. They then score an away goal in the second leg meaning Barcelona need 6 goals. This is the PSG with Thiago Silva, Motta, Verratti, Matuidi etc. Barcelona put 3 past them in the final 10 minutes to win 6-5 on aggregate.

If you lads can't cope with sometimes getting put to the sword by very good opposition, the Champions league is not for you. No amount of good defenders can keep the ball out of the net in the Champions league every week. Even the great Buffon, Chiellini, Bazargli, Bonucci quartet of last season got embarrassed by Isco, Ronaldo and Benzema in last years final.

People have every right to be upset and feel down, but these things happen so spouting off abuse and demanding we replace everyone behind the front 3 will not change a thing. No matter how good your individuals are, you'll still get punished if you get complacent. It happens to the best teams in the world, so why are we so special?

“. We just rocked up to their own patch and slaughtered them for 45 minutes. ”

We did not. This is pure bull. Thy gifted us two goals and were clearly the better team through out. I would need to find out the meaning of Slaughtering.

You are right, Sevilla are not Premier league farmers! A proper footballing team who taught us some good lessons the other day!

3-0 in half an hour is not slaughtering? Did you actually watch it? We could've been 8-0 up at half time.

Anyway then Harry, by your logic we also didn't get slaughtered in the second half because we gifted them 3 goals.

Mark are you suggesting that nobody in that 2005 AC Milan side was a good defender, a good leader, or could head a football?

Once a team takes their foot off the gas (even subconsciously) it is very difficult to go back up into top gear. The key is not to take your foot off the gas in the first place. That is not an exact science though and the best players in history have been equally as guilty for doing it. Ferguson and Paisley are the best ever because they put the fear of god into their team if they dared to think a game was won before the final whistle.

I am not defending what happened last night, I'm just defending the individuals getting blamed. As a collective, the whole team was unprofessional last night and nobody took the second half seriously until it was too late. They all expected Sevilla to roll over and die in the second half. This is the first time we've lost a 3-0 lead under Klopp, so let's just hope he and his players learn from it, and be thankful that it came in a game that won't hurt our season as long as we beat Spartak.

The last decent team we played was Spurs and they put 4 past us, same old problems been covered up, the space Henderson was leaving in front of our defence was awful, the equaliser came from a guy left unmarked 7 yards out in the last minute, Morenos concentration wasn't there from the first minute, we lack a real leader in that middle who should have pulled in the players around him and said "we stay tight and give nothing away" Henderson was still streaming forward leaving the same old gaps, Lucas has really been missed this year, now I don't know if the players just aren't listening but Klopp should have been going nuts at that midfield an defence on the side, we had the goals scored and the points in the bag, game management is hugely lacking and the lack of leadership and a voice is worrying, glad we never lost but the last few games have covered up the cracks that are still blindingly obvious.

Your points are pretty faultless MK, You love a good essay don't ya? I'm not sure why Mark and harry are finding it so easy to disagree.

We definitely rocked up and "slaughtered them" for 45 minutes, at half time I wasn't thinking we need to be careful and see the game out, I was thinking I wonder how many more we will score, Salah doesn't even have one yet, they looked absolutely shocking in the first half.

Moreno has been praised a lot recently, words like "turned a corner" and "like a new signing" have been used to describe his turn in form and rightly so. He has 1 bad game in the last 5 or 6 and all of a sudden people want him strung up again. I'm wondering if these are the same type of people that send death threats to their own players.

Its exactly as MK has put it, 1 game against a team we already drew against and who beat us to the Europa title a couple of seasons ago. It happens, we are top of the table still and have Spartak to play who just drew against a team we put 10 goals past.

Some of you are acting like we just got relegated. I say fair play to Sevilla.

As this is a rumour page I will post what I have heard. I believe that The Sevilla manager told his players at half time that he had Cancer which spured their comeback. Probably a load of rubbish but that's what I'm hearing.

{Ed001's Note - Moreno received a lot of abuse on here, which I had to delete, including morons posting about breaking his legs etc.

And it is not a rumour about Berrizzo, Sevilla confirmed the news.}

MK, we’ve beaten Maribor so far in Europe, that’s it mate, Maribor. We were 3 nil up and capitulated. Would you have taken 3-3 at halftime when we were 3-0 up?

Mk what's it got to do with 2005 or 1960 or whenever. I am interested in this season. What leasons did we learn from last season? The same problems keep repeating themselves. Its going to go on and on and on.

We will win a few games and you will say we are getting better and he is this and that. But I would put very good money on the fact that these players will let us down quite a few more times this season. Can't we at the very least get someone who can head a ball and someone in central midfield who can control a game. That can't be too mush to ask.

I haven't mentioned Moreno in my posts because he has done well this seson and that's his first bad game. But he ends up in central midfield chasing the ball. Is that stupidity? Klopps fault? I just don't know, its almost behond words how bad that is.

It was a poor second half, but we were also up against a very good Sevilla side in a torrid away match. why do we implode on this site every time we have a bad half? I’m far more worried when we capitulate vs someone like Bournemouth or Watford. but Sevilla away from home? Gutting yes, but we act like we’re in crisis instead of having a bad half hour after a couple of weeks of very good football. We all need to grow up a bit and have a bit of perspective.

As for Moreno he made some mistakes but they were also close calls which the players made the most of. Naive perhaps but he’s also learning. It’s despicable the way players are taken apart in such a personal way when they’re just doing their best for the club.

MK it might be we’ll be the first time we have given away a 3 goal lead under Klopp but the frustration is more that losing points from winning positions is a recurring theme we lost 18 points from winning positions last season and last night when the first goal went in it was a case of here we go again.
Agree completely that some of the abuse of individuals is over the top but there is definitely an issue that Klopp the coaches the players all need to rectify.

If you end up flapping a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 then I can't think of a better situation for it to happen. Congratulations to Sevilla and their manager, I'm sure it will be a welcome boost that he needs right now.

I swear Harry only shows up when we don’t win, it’s enough to make me think that he enjoys it.
