Hi eds 1 and fans.
Just interested in your thoughts about supporting England at the min.
I used to watch all the England games and enjoyed them as much as Liverpool but now i just not fused and most of my footballing friends feel the same.
Have we as a country just lost love England or is it just me.
How has this happened?

{Ed025's Note - its too tactical and boring for me longthing, its more about not getting beaten than actually winning and thats why i very rarely watch these days, latter stages of the world cup and european championship are good but the group stages bore the tits off me mate, and dont even get me started on friendlies..

Totally agree with Ed025 just so boring keeping possession for possession sake. Happy to watch team play it back and forth between the back 4 where are the old Brazil and Dutch teams that used to entertain us!

So what's your opinion on friendlies Ed025😁?

{Ed025's Note - bloody awful barry, total waste of time and puts players in peril of picking up an injury for no good reason mate...but i did say not to ask.. :)

On the subject of internationals, Denmark and Ireland are currently serving up one of the worst excuses for a football match I've ever watched.

Think Houllier's Liverpool playing against Allardyce's Bolton, but worse. And without anyone like Gerrard or Okacha who might accidentally play some football.

England’s international set up is a joke. We promote players too young and hold onto players too long. The Spain and German teams which have smashed the last few tournaments all played together at U19, U20 and U21 levels minus a few exceptions. We promote players too young and then moan they have no tournament experience when we actively avoid putting players like Rashford into the U21 tournaments to save them for qualifiers against the minnow nations. Hopefully the fact we’ve won a few tournaments this season will prompt a change where we let the players grow together so they understand how each others games work.

You are right Chubney. Any good manager would have dumped the likes of Cahill, Smalling and the like as they are completely hopeless and won't get better BUT they keep picking them and they wonder why England has not won a sausage since 1966 when they won a WC via a goal that should never have stood.
