Would like to ask eds and everyone's opinions on Jordan Henderson being captain. Do people think he is a captain or is it too much of a burden for him. I am a hendo fan but unfortunately don't feel he has it in him to lead a team. Think he is great to have around and hopefully can get back to were he was but think captaincy is too much for him. We are lacking serious leaders in our team. I would of loved someone to have a go at mignolet for coming for the cross that lead to the 4th goal or lovern for the pathetic performance today back injury or not.

we have bigger problems than Henderson, don't understand how he can get stick today when all the goals were very easily avoidable and had nothing to do with the midfield and specially Henderson, 1st goal, bad mistake from Lovren and Mignolet. 2nd goal horrible mistake from Lovren. 3rd goal horrible mistake from Matip. 4th goal, rookie mistake from Mignolet. And the 2nd and 3rd could have been saved by a better keeper.

Jordan henderson is a fine player on his day but he hanst had one of those days all season. Captaincy doesn't come into it, he is being left out to dry by the manager. He was coping well at cdm before the injury but not now. So why has he not been taken out of the firing line. We knew we needed a solid defensive mid in the knowledge that he was coming back from a bad injury and was never meant to play the position to start with. Their are plenty out there. Ndidi, obiang would be cheap options but im sure there are better out there. Why would we sell lucas and stewart and bring in nobody. The management of this squad is nearing rodgers levels of ignorance. The whole of the midfield and defence needs a reshuffle if we are to survive.

So another transition then Woolback! Close to £200 mill and spend only to realize we need to spend another £300 mill to get this right lol!

Truthfullly he’s the worst captain I’ve seen at Liverpool for decades. He’s not a motivator nor is he a match winner offensively or defensively.
If I had to pick one in the current squad, probably firmino.
He’s a fighter.

{Ed025's Note - frying pans and fire is all i can say 1234. bobby is not even worth his place at the moment and i know hes not a natural CF but he needs to score more mate..

Firmino as captain? Good god he may not be great, Henderson, but you want a guy who disappears for half a season every season as captain, abs no way, an average player who turns up when he's botheted.

He's average as a player when you compared him to alli eriksen de bruyne pogba fabregas kante fernandino etc. Squad player at best and captain, not at all but who is in this squad. I miss skrtel.

I've soapboxed a few times about lack of leadership in the dressing room. We need a stronger captain, imo, but Hendo's the best at the club at the moment.

If we took the armband form him, who would we give it to? Migs and most of our defenders are completely out of the question. Milner doesn't play regularly, Wijnaldum's not captain material and Coutinho and Can are both probably on their way out. I think it's too soon for Gomez.

Mane? Firmino? Probably the best alternatives and they're both good players and top blokes, but so is Henderson. They mightn't do any better and you've disturbed the dressing room for nothing.
