Do we go unchanged at the weekend?

{Ed007's Note - Just turn them inside out and they'll last a bit longer.}

I think Klopp will def bring back in Mig (Karius) Gomez (Taa) and Henderson (Milner) for Spurs with the rest unchanged. However personally I'd prefer to see Karius or Ward as our keeper continuously for the rest of the season and I'd push Coutinho back into midfield and Ox into the front 3 until Mane is back.

Me too Jayden.

Robertson will no doubt miss out again 🙄.

I expect Migs, Gomez, Hendo to come back in and I’m fine with that, especially away from home.

5.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 02:01:20
Perhaps Klopp has discussed it with Robertson and has assembled a squad where the best 11 will play, and cover is brought in for injury, burn out, or loss of form only; not simple ‘rotation’. This is strength in depth. Moreno doesn’t deserve to be dropped atm. Perhaps Robertson is happy to be part of what Klopp is building.

6.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 02:13:50
Not a Moreno fan Ron?

7.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 06:22:36
I just think Robertson is better and has proven it on the pitch.

{Ed001's Note - when? I don't get this love-in for Robertson, he was not good for Hull and he has shown nothing for us, despite the hysteria against Palace when he actually hit most of his crosses nowhere near one of our players, despite having the freedom of the park and all the time in the world to place a cross.}

8.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 06:48:43
Still think our best midfield is Gini-hendo-can and I'd like to see that vs spurs. Coutinho doesn't have the engine or energy to help us dominate the midfield.

9.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 07:05:33
Oh I am sorry Ron but Robertson can’t defend. We never brought in a superior full back and that is bottom line and tried another gamble in Robertson which hasn’t paid off!

Oh yes just like VVD, We tried, We tried.

Moreno is a mistake waiting to happen while Robertson was never good enough in the first place!

Another position need to be upgraded in the summer!

Faith

You definitely need to read the article above and the part 1. Coutinho is not here to dominate midfield I am afraid.

11.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 07:27:34
Every time I've watched Robbo he's shown more awareness and more positional sense than Moreno has in his entire LFC career.
Defending is not just what you do with the ball (crosses? ) or what you do when your direct opponent has the ball. The shape of the team is vital and Moreno is usually 20 yards more advanced than the ball. This gives opponents options when attacking. Robbo has far more tactical acumen than Moreno who probably puts in 3 times as many "crosses" and sometimes gets lucky.

Just my perspective.

{Ed001's Note - sorry but you are not watching them if you think Moreno puts in 3 times as many crosses as Robertson. That is crap. If anything Robertson is the one who puts in more crosses. It is pretty much all he does and all he has to offer. As for awareness and positional sense, they are both bloody hopeless in those areas, neither of them show any. Moreno does get advanced too early, I agree, but Robertson is not the answer.}

12.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 08:23:16
No brainer for me, we bring in Faouzi Ghoulam and sell one of Robertson/ Moreno - neither are good enough let's be honest. Robertson I do want to see more of but it seems he was bought just to keep Moreno on his toes.

{Ed001's Note - Moreno was expected to be sold.}

13.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 08:30:26
Ron, Robbo was already not well-liked when he signed as many including myself, thought we could do better. Same with Ox. Moreno is not great and that much is clear. However, This Robbo-love in is baseless. Moreno is showing great improvement (I know, it is a low bar) BUT that much is true. Robbo is not better than Moreno and Moreno is just about shading it right now. Klopp thinks Moreno is playing well and many have agreed on that. It is your opinion and we respect that BUT that's all it is, your opinion.

14.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 08:43:35
You're telling me what I see from the stands is baseless.

Ok, well if you already make you're mind up about a player based on TV images playing for a poor team then there is no point in trying to convince you and obviously your opinion has more basis than mine 👏

All I will say is TV tends to be focussed on the ball. From the stands you see the whole pitch all the time. Whether you want to admit it or not, you get a better perspective of team shape and player positioning when you can see the whole pitch.

{Ed001's Note - if you are going to be a prick about it then don't bother discussing this with me. You have no idea what I have seen but you carry on being one of those tits that thinks they know more because they are lucky enough to get to games. By the way you can't have seen much from there as he never plays for us for you to watch. I am done with this. You were the same with Brendan blinkers on refusing to accept what anyone else said. It is pointless discussing this with you as your head is clearly so far up the lad's rectum that you have turned on one of our other players just because he is keeping Robertson out the team.}

15.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 09:01:44
Ed, I'm replying to Bingo who called my opinion "baseless".
I have no problem with your comment on my opinion, I don't like it when someone says another's opinion is baseless. Everyone's opinion is equally as valid. Calling it baseless is disrespectful and more "prickish" in my opinion.

16.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 09:12:04
Moreno has obviously pushed himself up another level. (There's still a few before he becomes dependable) Perhaps Robertson will rise to the challenge which can only be a good thing. I don't think we've seen enough of him yet in a red shirt to really comment. I would imagine he will get his chance when Moreno gets a ban. One thing, is he definitely fit? As in to the level klopp expects? I just wonder if he and ox aren't quite ready for the amount of running klopp has his players do in preseason.

17.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 09:12:56
Robertson was a waste of money. Just another player signed for the sake of it. Moreno has stepped up and there is no reason right now to drop him for an average left back signed from Hull that 90% LFC fans deep down knew would never make the grade here. Moreno has developed an understanding with Coutinho and Mane on the left, while Robertson simply kept getting in Mane's way every time they played together and KLopp obviously saw that.
I was against the Robertson signing from the get go (Ed002 can attest to me as a Robertson hater) . Nothing against the player but it was painfully obvious there was no logic behind the signing.

18.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 09:23:08
Ron, I never said that Robbo was disliked cos he played for Hull. You made that up on your own. And the fact that you think you know more than the rest of us who disagree with you cos you go to games and we don't, shows that you have NO argument on this issue and the ones you have, are nothing but hollow rants, the ones Ed has appropriately responded to. You were the same not just with Brendan (I read all your posts then and they were nuts), but with Karius as well, with you saying he would NEVER come good as if you can tell the future which clearly, you can't.

Now you are saying Robbo is better whereas the guy has only play two games for us so to you, two games is enough to say he is better than Moreno? Have you bothered to ask yourself why he's only played two games this season? Could it be that it is cos Moreno is keeping him out?

Again, your opinion is baseless with no facts to support it and if that rant is all you have to offer as a rebuttal to my comment, then you are swimming upstream, bro. I normally love your posts and optimism BUT here, you have embarrassed yourself royally, my friend.

19.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 09:55:06
That part of it I disagree on. I think Coutinho could do everything ed says he could in midfield but imo doesn't have the engine yet to do that all game.

20.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 10:36:55
Faith

He just don’t need to run and chase shadows all when not in possession, hence we play with two or three B2B ball winners. His role is not to dominate the midfield nor win anything and if he does it it’s actually a bonus. He is what Ozil should be doing at arsenal and for what he is getting abused for. I would be happy if he just pick players ahead when he has the ball and forget every thing on the pitch. Our team is set up to help him not the other way around.

The team play with 2 power tanks in Can, Hendo, Wijnaldum. Why do you need an extra player just to run around? Once went have Keita then we will just dominate the league let alone any matches!

21.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 12:21:37
Whatever Bingo. This has nothing to do with Rodgers so you're engaging in "internet warfare". I have no time for that

I respect others opinions. I do not call them baseless.
You have no respect for differening opinions, that much is clear by your comments.

22.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 13:00:17
Anyone is better than Moreno and I think Robertson deserves to be in ahead of Moreno.

Why is Klopp so meticulous about Goal keepers then? Migs for PL, Kaurius for CL and Ward for the rest?

Same with Grujic. Can gets in irrespective of his quality.

I don't like AOC but he can't be worse than Can. Grujic and Woodburn deserve some game time ahead of Can with the amount of playing time.

I agree with Ron here.

Cheers.

23.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 14:36:45
Bit harsh that on Ron. Everyone has their opinion. Let's keep it civil guys.

24.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 14:53:20
Samikwell, I think can has earned his place in the team to be honest. Yep, he's had a few quiet games but he's also had a few man of the match performances as well. Something to think about this early in the season. Moreno is improving. Still lots to learn but his attitude is great. As I said earlier, I hope he and Robertson push each other because obviously that will benefit the team as a whole. Woodburn is a kid. Let's not put all the expectation on him just yet. They're not even sure where he plays yet but I'm fairly certain it would be in a more attacking role. As for grujic, I could be wrong but I thought ed2 said things might change with him soon enough. Its still a little early to write aoc off or indeed build him up. I'm hopeful he finds his feet under klopp. And finally goalkeeper. nobody has a clue what's going on.

25.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 16:40:36
Sami, that is your opinion, one which Klopp and many others on here and on other fan sites (as I visit some of them) disagree with as he can't beat out Moreno. Saying anyone is better than Moreno makes little sense as Robbo can't get in the team ahead of him so by that, we can conclude that anyone BUT Robbo is better than Moreno. Cos you think Robbo is better does not mean he is and that he should play. Klopp makes the decisions and frankly, I don't care who plays provided they can do the job and right now, Moreno tho not great, is doing the job to a certain extent. That is the reality.

26.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 17:15:38
I don’t always agree with Ron but I think he deserves an apology.

27.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 18:02:55
Robertson isn't playing because Moreno is yet to do anything to justify him being removed from the starting XI. Simple as really.

28.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 18:32:17
Spot on, Hijkle. It is as simple as that but some on here think Klopp is mistreating Robbo by not playing him or something, which is preposterous. If Robbo wants to play more, he should convince Klopp on the training pitch and dislodge him, end of story.

29.) 19 Oct 2017
19 Oct 2017 21:20:16
Can we all wear shirts for the spurs game saying #PrayForRon?

30.) 20 Oct 2017
20 Oct 2017 10:46:40
all these are subjective what we know as fans is that they both play for our team and at the least should be fighting hard to improve and earn the LB spot. I will agree with Ed on this 1,Robbo tends to hit crosses that miss most if not all our players, something he can improve on over time. Has Moreno actually improved on what he really needed to {defending) or is he just attacking more? Granted the kid is trying and working hard on his game which shows maybe that alone should at the least keep him in the team. let's support them both to improve.
