Morning.
I was wondering, would it be possible for the fans of LFC to make a donation pot and raise x amount of millions and give it to the club for use to a transfer?
Not saying it would ever happen. Just wondering if it could.

There is no shortage of money. £50 mill for Kieta, £40 mill for AOC. £40 mill for Salah. Turned down a potential £100 mill for Coutinho! You could thank Sky for pumping abundance of cash into the game!

It wasn’t a suggestion it was more of a query as to wethere there was restrictions.
I know there is money to spend with the £70m for VVD still available.

OP. money is not and will NEVER be the issue as we have the money to buy who we think will help the team We were prepared to pay 150m for both Keita and VVD in the summer YET you want us to make a donation for transfers? Keep your money cos the club does not need it, clearly.

I couldn't think of anything more embarrassing for the club or as a fan than the fans directly raising money for transfers.

It happens every week when we shell out a ridiculous amount for a ticket! 😡
If the club was being run responsibly then you could have a conversation, but at the moment, my perception is we are not being run responsibly.

Your missing op point he's not asking to raise £££ just if it's possible to raise £££ by the fans to purchase a player.

If we was going to raise money, it'd be for either charities or to the eds for running the websites, which is something id love to see, but to the club, nah, they get enough money from us from ticket sales alone never mind everything else.

I don’t think it’s allowed, I’m sure I it read on here years ago about someone wanting to put a few million in to buy a player but it wasn’t allowed, sure it was in rafas time.

You got it Reusch.
I’m not asking anyone to put money into a pot.
I’m asking if it could be done.

When i was in year 8 I would have given my liverpool piggy bank to get us David Villa.

This has reminded me of United London FC. Fans don't quite help out with transfers but they do pick the starting line up each week through the website.

Imagine if Liverpool picked the line up from this site every week! Ward and Solanke would play every game and Klavan would probably have been put down.

{Ed001's Note - I know the guy who started that, Mark, nice fella and he has worked incredibly hard to get that working.}

Such a good way for an amateur team to build a fanbase! Must be a smart chap.

I think fans should get the chance to raise money to sign a particular player which the majority wants Lfc to sign. We can conduct a poll throughout the season and then raise money.

{Ed025's Note - i think supporters pay enough to be honest Eka what with tickets, merchandise, travel etc, the owners have plenty of money and they will be the ones making the money if the club gets sold so its a no from me mate..

You're right Ed25, I was just thinking about the possibilities. Us fans have no right to decide what the club officials must do with the money they earn from ticket sales and etc but, If we raise money for a transfer. We can directly ask the club to sign the player our fans want.

{Ed002's Note - it has happened before but certainly won’t be happening at Liverpool. Fantasy stuff I am afraid.}
