Ed01 about these player or former player articles you are doing is it possible you could do one on gabriel batistuta one of my favourite players and am sure a read once that you held in high regards to.

Hey Ed001, just reading Harry’s suggestion then and it gave me an idea.
How about a little piece on the history of the site? How it started, how all the Ed’s came to be involved, longest serving posters, top posters like macca, most memorable posts, most stressful times, biggest scoops, how the site has grown (how the hits to the site have increased etc)
I mean I know most of the answers already from numerous posts over the years but would be nice to see it all in one article.

Especially if it could clarify about the health issues that apparently caused his weight gain,

A friend of my mam's was working for Nike at the time of the World Cup (which was great as I had all the training kits etc that were never released from the national teams straight out of their allotment of kits!) and she did say a few things. However it was a long time ago and I am not sure if me ma kept in touch with her so I can speak to her and clarify what she knew.}
