Is it just me or was the pitch really slow today? Maybe it was us not moving the ball quick enough but I thought the ball was rolling slow and stayed in play a lot of times when it looked sure to run out of play.

I think Jt was intentional how many times have we been spent after the first half and a team score last minute against us? I think Juergen was smart about it but AOC cameo was positive.

If anything AOC and Sturridge should have been on earlier for Firmino and Can/ Wijnaldum. We should have gambled abit more for me.

Overall I’ll take that. Decent performances from everyone in the pitch, especially midfield with Hendo, Gini and Can doing a good job of running the show.

In the bigger context a loss would have been tough on the confidence, but a point against Man Utd and a clean sheet with some decent defending is something to take forward and hopefully the goals start going in again soon.

Shocked at just how unadventurous Mourinho was. surely they had a bit more guts to give it a try than that?

{Ed025's Note - the midfield were awful for me SG continually passing sideways and backward, the movement was not quick enough which made it easy for united to stifle most of the attacks mate..

United was playing a team that have? all over our defence yet only have 6 touches in our box. Typical Jose tactics flat track bully. How many times this season have they waited for opposing teams to chase the game and gamble before letting his horses run free. Klopp changed the right 3 for 3 in my opinion.

I agree with you ed. i've been saying it for weeks hendo has got 2 gears backwards and sideways and he's always trying to play 60yrd glory balls as for CAN don't think he wants to be there and wijnaldum has lost form yet the same 3 get picked virtually every week baffling. david silva of city has scored more premiership goals than our 3 CM put together ours 1 goal just puts more pressure on front 3.

I don’t know what people see in Wijnaldum and Henderson! Together they have scored a whooping 1 goal between them and I don’t expect them to score more than 5 in between for the whole season! So much quality there! Henderson would go back to Sunderland and why Wijnaldum at crystal palace if Klop actually wants to win a trophy!

Ed. I agree that we should have won today BUT context is needed. We did not play our best today esp. in midfield cos it seemed like our boys were knackered today. That seemed to be the same for all the big teams today bar Spurs and of course, City. It was also quite disjointed in the final third as it seemed like the wrong decisions were being made. Having said that, a point is not great BUT not bad esp. in the context of Arsenal and Chelsea losing. However, I will say that we really need to start taking our chances cos the Can one was unforgivable. De Gea had already given up hope of getting to it and Can skied a sitter. On to Spurs, I guess.

Maybe I set the bar a little low Ed25 but compared to previous games where our midfield has been bypassed way too easily, way too often, I felt we had complete control of the park this time and pressed well when we lost possession.

Yes I agree we could still get more attacking threat from them but Gini seemed far more up for carrying the ball forward than previous games, Can got into the box more etc. and against Mourinho you will naturally have to make a lot of sideways passes while you probe for an opening. It’s when we do it when there’s space all over the park that drives me nuts.

I’m also not saying it’s the best performance ever but it’s a base to start from and I’d rather we didn’t look so porous first, then worked out how we get the best out of a top attack second. I’m sure given time we’ll get back into the scoring habit, and if we’re doing so with clean sheets we’ll race up the table.

{Ed025's Note - if you dominate a game like yesterday SG then you have to make it count, too much pussy footing around in midfield and a misfiring attack means you will lose ground for me mate, united are 10 points ahead and its not because they are great its because they are clinical in finishing teams off..
