What's everyone's thoughts on DS he been fit for while had some game time but doesn't look any where near the player he was.
Surly it's time to move him on and give someone else a chance or a new player in.
Good to have around the place but on lots of money.

I think he needs more games before we judge him further, now he's fit. My head is telling me he's coming to the end at Liverpool, my heart is telling me he will get back to how he was, but how long do we wait? I want him to keep with us of course but I think if nothing improves it'd be best for the club and for his career if he moved on.

Every player needs games to get the sharpness back, he gets 10-15 mins here and there and a rare start, then gets the brunt of the abuse for not being better, I also don't think the system we play suits him, or his game, but instead of changing or tweaking to suit him klopp continues with his 1 trick pony tactics that most teams have sussed by now,

I don't mind and agree with the fact he needs games to get fit etc. Sturridge is very talented no question. But he is at times very lacklustre, and even in warm ups before game he looks like he's going at 60% and at times carries that on to the park. I as a fan of Sturridge would just like to see him do the hard work and ugly side of the game and stop getting bullied and going to ground so easily like Newcastle goal he takes a bad touch and then is just so easily pushed off it when still had body between ball and defender then we were wide open to the counter attack (not all his fault I may add) Hope we can be more clinical tomorrow and stop this media frenzy on sky with Utd!

The guy is clinical and still has his fancy foot work but he just doesn’t seem to have that yard of pace that made him lethal in his hey day and he looks just too static for me. As much as a love the guy I’d like to see Solanke given starts against the so-called weaker sides where his physical presence in the box could make the difference, then Firmino against the top sides and Sturridge as impact sub.

Not a bad shout, SG. Solanke came on vs Newcastle and did more in 16 mins than Studge did in 70 mins. Go figure.

I think he's good enough to adapt his game. If he's lost his pace, he should work on his runs. He'll always be a great finisher. He only needs a few games to get that part of his game sharp again.

{Ed025's Note - its hard to control the ball when it gets stuck under your zimmer frame aoe....ditch him asap for me mate..

He works that Zimmer frame real well in fairness. I'm not convinced he'll ever be as prolific as before but it wouldn't surprise me if he had a run of games and started scoring. I just think a great player like that has it in him to adapt. Not to mention how much solanke could learn from him.
