I know I've whinged a few times about Phil Thompson (sure he's a lovely bloke), but the only reason his comments are reported are cos' he's an ex player. If I stated the bleeding obvious time after time nobody would care. This time, we need a top draw striker and if Aubameyang is available he should top the list, according to Phil. Why not state we also need a top keeper, and if DeGea becomes available, he should top the list? Maybe I'm just getting cranky as I get older.

{Ed025's Note - you are burkey mate..

Ex players moaning just for the sake of it don not help the situation.

Are you the original Bingo from the banana splits?
He was red and chatted incoherent drivel as well.
Phil Thompson knows more about our club than most why you think you are informed enough to slate him is beyond me. Thommo is born and bred and worked with all our top managers, including Houllier, you muppet he's not just any old ex-player.
Beam me up.

Yawn, Sono. He still moans for no reason regardless of his stature at the club, just like Aldo, Carra and some of the rest. You are aware that two things could be right at the same time, right or did they not teach you that in muppet school?

Met him at a fan event a few years ago. Lovely guy. Even funnier off camera and more than happy to discuss the god debacle. He's very entertaining on sky with the boys but like any pundit who works for that company- take most of what he says with a grain of salt.

When the team is underperforming what do you guys expect the pundits to say? Of course they are going to give their opinions because they are asked. It's their job.

{Ed025's Note - fair comment superred..

Bingo, when you can list that many legends all unhappy with the performances then maybe you need to reflect whether it's you who are the odd one out? Remember that sequence in Sesame Street, one of these kids is doing his own thing?
Maybe you haven't completed your muppet history course yet, try researching your family tree 😝.

Superred, that is not my issue with them. My issue is that some of them just keep moaning about the bleeding obvious which IMO, adds nothing new to the debate while some of them go on with conspiracy theories and start parroting other people's quotes and general talking points which may have no basis in reality. That is my issue BUT I know they are paid to do that, as well.
